In no particular order, we are going to start with ev.io. This sci-fi arena shooter has long been the jewel in our crown, and 2022 was truly a banner year for this game. It won awards, it went mobile, and it introduced swords. SWORDS! If you thought the slap mode in Golden Eye was cool, it was! You are valid. But the swords in this game are better. It is incredibly cool to grab a sword and swing on a robot or a noob who doesn’t know to get too close. &nbsp;Our crack team of engineers has cooked up some incredibly cool winter updates to celebrate this holiday season. First and foremost: snowflakes are everywhere. Some people try to make it rain. We made it snow. It's all water in the end, anyway. The snowflakes in ev.io are each unique. We used a special proprietary algorithm that pumps out millions upon millions of unique snowflakes to fall from the sky in the game. And a fun fact for you tech-heads out there is that our snowflake generator is based on the program used to create snowflakes for the simulation in which we all live.&nbsp;

There is also a lot of snow. We have basically paved over every arena with snow. Remember the graveyard? Well, now it has snow. That’s pretty cool. All the other levels also have snow, and it is also cool. We throw in a ton of candy canes as well. Candy canes are the ionic pillars of Christmas time, and we were proud to include them in the game. There are a few other Easter Eggs out there for you to find. Maybe it's slippery in some areas. We leave it to you to find.&nbsp;

Next up is everyone's favorite game about racing. That’s right; Typeracer is a game where you “race” metaphorically by typing. In this game, your typing speed and accuracy represent your words per minute score, and you can compare your words per minute or WPM against other players to leave them in your dust and devastate their egos. It's all good fun except when some people take it too personally and make it a whole thing. Anyway, right now, there is a Typing Stats Holiday Event. The rules are pretty simple. You sign up over at Typing Stats Typeracer. Your account will import over, and then you choose a team. After that, you and your friends are typing to inflict damage. The goal is to work together to decrease the opponent's team to zero. Then you will win and receive a point. As you play, you will also gain currency. The currency is represented by Snowflakes. You can use these snowflakes to boost your damage or to increase how fast you earn more snowflakes. Ultimately what you are working towards are the prizes. <a href="https://apes.io/">Apes.io</a> features all of the classic elements of your favorite arena shooters with its own special twists on mechanics and the genre. Other than the theme being about magic apes with wooden wands who knuckle-walk and hobble just like real apes or can glide using their magic powers, the real thrust of the game is the spell crafting. We all love spells. Magic is cool, and collecting things is fun. That is why we incorporated the idea of collections and crafting into the very DNA of the game. All apes will start off with the same generic wand that allows them to throw out simple hex blasts. But if you stick around and collect the various magical elements, precious stones, and carnage left in the wake of vanquishing an enemy, you’ll be able to hit TAB and open up the crafting menu. This is where the real magic begins!&nbsp;The spells you craft will be added to your wands. You can only ever have a total of two wands which you can switch between using the number keys 1 and 2. Crafting and assigning spells to your wands is more satisfying than simply adding equipment or toggling stats because you, the player, are now actually in charge of creating something within the game itself. The spells you craft will have various in-game effects, allowing you to build your very own ape to represent your own playing style. Like any crafting system, part of the fun then becomes the self-directed hunt for the elements you need to complete the spells you want. Some arena shooter games can become rote exercises in camping, sniping, getting those headshots, and hopping around the arena as you avoid other players' blasts. Without goals, missions, or an engaging objective, the games can devolve into nothing more than dodging and blasting. We feel that the crafting games like <a href="https://apes.io/">Apes.io</a> avoid this pitfall because players will be self-directing their games towards finding the items and elements needed for the exact specific spells they want and then hitting the battlefield to use them. In Apes.io, your loadout and strategy won’t just be based on buying items and equipping a generic hero. Instead, you’ll be crafting everything from the ground up and creating your ape mystic.&nbsp;

From the very first tank games of the early 80s where players were just lobbing shells over hills and into forts, to the new world of tank strategy games: Tanks rule. There is just something about being entombed in a cold steel shell with a cannon mounted on the top of it that tickles the collective pickle of all humans on Earth. We love it, don’t we? We love being a little general in charge of our little tanks and blasting away at whoever the enemy of the moment is. Operation: Desert Road takes all the fun of tanking and streamlines it into a quick and easy desktop game where you just need to move, blast, collect upgrades and then deploy those upgrades at the best time. The interface is easy, just use the arrow pad to move and the space-bar to fire but it gets crazy after the 5th level. When you find yourself in a real meat grinder of automatic weapon fire, bombs blasting in air, and anti-artillery cannons firing at you from multiple positions. It is chaotic but most fun is chaotic. So, please head to your nearest desktop computer and play this iron covered diamond in the rough.

You get the sublime Tropical Tennis! Tropical Tennis is a mobile game dedicated to smooth controls and straightforward mechanics. In this game tennis has been abstracted to its most fun. Serve, volley, dash, and score! This is a tennis game that promises to make you the third Williams sister with just the swipe of your fingers! There actually might already be a third Williams sister who doesn’t play tennis. Not quite sure of that, haven’t seen the movie about them and don’t have time to watch it right now. After all: Gaming is not a game: gaming is a lifestyle. And lifestyles are about how we live and who we are. We are a game publisher and we publish games. These are those games, at least some of them, and you can play them. Here and now.

If you've ever wanted to point and click your way to victory, manage resources, run a zoo and build an empire then this is the game for you. This game is as simple as clicking left or right in order to navigate and maneuver your square as it races across a jagged road levitating above a pastel void. We're all doing everything we can to avoid the void and this game makes that avoidance real and literal, it makes your choices simple and fun: Jump left or jump right. You'll have to master the timing and placement of your jumps but since the available options are merely binary there isn't a whole lot of room to screw up. This is great training for the real world and we are proud to have this game on our roster. It is a mobile masterpiece that lets you kill a few minutes as you fade into the distance.

<a href="https://www.addictinggames.com/action/space-knife">Space Knife </a>is another simple click and dash, avoid and score style game that we're proud to have on our platform. This is a game where you play a haunted space sword that is simply trying to move left to right and slash their way through every obstacles as they go. It isn't easy but it is fun, a lot of fun. We find ourselves engrossed in this game more and more as the months go on. It has a great replay value and players seem to love it. There is something cool about the absurdity of the theme and how challenging a game can truly be with just a single click. Get to know the gravity of this game, get to know the physics because you're going to have to master them if you want to slash your way to the top of the leader board or just kill an errant afternoon.

The saying is true: All games lead to Rome. From the floors of the coliseum to the bluffs of Palantine Hill, Rome was a culture forged through battle. This is probably why our only desktop only game of the list is a realistic Roman themed fighter game. <a href="https://www.addictinggames.com/action/gladiator-true-story">Rome True Story</a> is a game about the trials and tribulations of an arena fighter in grand old Rome. Choose your champion, armor them up and send them into the fray. Use your skills to dodge, weave, stab, and dash your way into the history books. Who knows if you work hard enough, pull yourself up by your sandal straps and grease those elbows you might just rise above your rank as fighter to become the emperor himself. Stranger things have happened after all.

<h2>What Is All This Talk About Whitelist Tokens?</h2>

As of right now, our whitelist tokens come in two different denominations: Epic and Legendary. The Epic Tokens are more common and easier to find, they’re also purple. The Legendary tokens are rarer, harder to find in-game, and ultimately will have more value. They happen to be gold. As of right now, these tokens are currently off-chain. We’re handing them out via contests and you can find them in certain games as part of an Easter egg hunt but once you get them they won’t appear in your wallet yet. We do have an online repository for those of you who want to view who has how many tokens and you can view it over here.

<h2>What Are Your NFTs Exactly And What Do They Do?</h2>

In our particular case, the NFTs is basically defined as a digital collectible in a limited quantity. These are going to be represented in the game as weapon skins, player skins, and through land sales (social areas.) In-game skins will be how the tokens are represented. While the skins are purely cosmetic, each NFT will have an individual power level, however, the power level will not affect gameplay. The power-level indicator will instead be represented by a different glowing effect for each skin. The more powerful you are the more you will shine, just like in real life.

<h2>What Do I Need On My End To Mint An NFT?</h2>

We’re using Solana. We’ve chosen to go with them for a lot of reasons but mostly because of security and interface. Their user interface is second to none and the privacy and security of users is a huge priority to them. Yay, thanks, Solana. So, you’re going to have to get yourself some SOL, which is the currency of Solana. You’ll also need to get yourself a wallet but we figure that if you’re already in the NFT-sphere then you know that already. We haven’t officially set a price yet as markets are constantly in flux but as of right now it is looking like it’ll be anywhere between .5 - 2 SOL. You’ll be able to use our whitelist tokens when you buy. Since Legendary is rare, they will reduce the price the most, the Epic is less rare so they reduce the price a little less. It is all pretty simple. If you don’t have a Whitelist token you’ll end up paying the most.

<h2>How Would you Say one Goes About Obtaining these Whitelist Tokens?</h2>

Right now there are two easy ways: First we drop them into games and you just gotta find ‘em. Easy enough, right. Like we said the game is already great anyway. Might as well grab some tokens while you’re playing. Both Tiers will be available. Legendary is gold and harder to find. Epic is purple and you should find a bunch of them. We’re also giving them away as rewards for killing bosses who randomly appear. We announce drops on Twitter and discord or you can see them in the “Drops” tab of the main menu of Ev.io itself. First of all the biggest news is that we’re getting into NFTs.That is right. The same people who brought you the <a href="https://www.addictinggames.com/funny/kitten-cannon">Kitten Cannon</a> and the <a href="https://www.addictinggames.com/puzzle/the-impossible-quiz">Impossible Quiz</a> are now launching themselves to the moon itself via NFTs. Now you may be asking yourself “Just what is an NFT?” Well, don’t ask us. We only work here. And frankly, it is not our job to educate you on what things are or what they mean. Just kidding, haha, but seriously NFT means Non-Fungible Tokens. For years we as a species have struggled under the tyranny of tokens which were great but at their core were also inherently fungible. It was awful and that cursed era of humanity is now considered the BNFT era or “Before Non-Fungible Token Era.” Luckily, some plucky young developers, entrepreneurs, or engineers discovered non-fungibility in a lab or on the moon, or at the bottom of the ocean. These scientists or CEOs or astronauts (depending on the telling of the story) were able to distill this discovery to its essence and create a token that was itself fundamentally non-fungible and thus NFTs were unleashed upon our world.

The future is now, and we —as a species— are headed into a new renaissance that is driven by Web3 and NFTs. We —as a brand— decided that to be on the right side of history it is important for us to get into NFTs. And of course, by getting into NFTs we mean we’re getting you, the player, into NFTS, our NFTs. Or to be more specific Ev.io NFTs. That’s right Addicting Fans, everybody's favorite web-based desktop FPS which requires no login and no software to download is now dropping their own NFTs.

And by dropping, we literally mean dropping (figuratively that is.) See, one way the NFTs will become available is at random in various game modes at the same points where weapons spawn. You’ll just have to keep your eyes open while playing, be logged in, and have your crypto wallet connected to your account. For now, the tokens will premiere in 2 different types of rarity (both inspired by our content editor) the rarity types are “Epic” and “Legendary.” You’ll be able to find the drops across three different game styles: Team Deathmatch, Battle Royale, and just regular old Deathmatch. There are a few other ways in which you as a player will be able to get your hands on the tokens. Probably the most fun way is to acquire them after defeating a boss in battle. This requires a bit more effort on the player's part but it gives you something more than just the satisfaction of defeating a boss. You’ll also be able to acquire them from the in-game store using the in-game currency you acquire from playing the game itself. The store is accessible by clicking the “store’ tab at the top menu over at Ev.io. Going forward we’ll also have contests, each contest will be different than the last and if you want to stay on top of them you’ll have to follow our <a href="https://twitter.com/play_evio">Twitter </a>or be on our Discord.

Now, this might seem like little more than a brief overview of what is an inherently complicated topic with lots of moving parts, tons of details, and mind-boggling amounts of minutia, and that's because it is! Web3 and NFTs are truly a kinetic situation that is still unfolding and our place in that dynamic world is still relatively new. Heck, the crypto-sphere itself is still relatively new. What we can tell you that we are very excited about is that we’re partnering with HUT 8 to mint our NFTs. That's right, HUT 8, one of the largest crypto mining orgs, is now working with us. In the next year, you can expect limited edition HUT 8 NFTs and tournaments and competitions sponsored by them. We’re proud to be working with Hut 8. We wish we could sing it from the rooftops but tweets from our social accounts are just gonna have to do.

Hello and welcome to the February update for Addicting games. As a website, we’ve been around for a lot longer than most people know and we’ve been publishing top-tier games on and across that (this?) website.

Our site is currently optimized for mobile and that means you might only know us as a mobile site pushing fun, free games once a week. Currently, we don’t have an app you can download that is specifically labeled as “Addicting Games” and features a rotating selection of mini-games but we have gotten that suggestion multiple times and we’re thankful for all of our fans who think we don’t know what an app is or how they work. But we just wanna make it clear: don’t think we don’t got apps. Cause, oh boy, do we have apps. While searching the app store for the Addicting Games app might not return any results we do actually publish a few individual games as apps. That is right. Think about it. We’re not just a “website” we’re publishers, producers, and developers. That means our reach is far beyond the limits of any particular platform.&nbsp;

Currently, we have two games you can download as individual apps: Mope.io and Littlebigsnake. If you’re a repeat reader of this blog then you already know all about both games. Littlebigsnake is one of our proudest achievements and you can check out multiple stories about it or forget about everything we’ve ever written about the game itself and just go play it. We also have Mope.io which is a newer game but also no stranger to the Addicting blog-o-sphere. We acquired this game a few years ago and actually did an interview with the developer.&nbsp; It's a great interview and one that might be considered inspirational for aspiring game developers everywhere. If you haven’t read it yet then we believe it is a must-read, not just because we’re talking about Mope.io season 2 later in this entry but because Stan is a cool guy and more people should know about him. We stan Stan and you should too.&nbsp;

So, to be clear when we talk about Addicting Games sometimes we mean the website full of classic post-Flash games you know and love, and sometimes we mean the brand that develops produces, and releases stand-alone games like Mope.io, Ev.io, and Littlebigsnake. We can be both, we can be everything and we can do it all and more. It’s 2022, everything is up for grabs and you can’t be stuck in the past.&nbsp; Now, about Mope.io…

Well, Mope.io has entered goblin mode, or as we’re calling it: Season 2. Mope.io is the arena game you already know and love where you pick an animal, and just upgrade and evolve until you’re at the top of the food chain looking down at all the other lonely people below you. Well, now it's gotten bigger and better. Season two has been a long time coming and it is the end result of a lot of blood, sweat, tears, and spinal fluid as secreted by our top-tier development team.&nbsp;We’re proud to announce the 2nd season of Mope.io! The evolution and survival-style IOgame is looking better and playing smoother thanks to a robust graphics update and a UI overhaul courtesy of our hard-working dev team.&nbsp;In Mope season 2, the terrain, in-game objects, and animals are more polished and realistic, thanks to a significant aesthetic makeover. For example, all art now uses UHD textures to improve players' look, vibe, and experience as they scurry around the map scavenging food to evolve while avoiding predators, hazardous terrain, and seasonal obstacles. We’ve also improved the UI and included a dynamically spawned map to the game. Mope now loads resources and objects in different places as the server starts, making it a different experience every time. This upgrade allows us to build out unique maps and possibly publish community-submitted maps in a future build.&nbsp;Our new Eggshell feature on the upgrade screen allows players to choose their next animal at their own pace after they’ve leveled up. It’s not the complete invincibility long-time players have dreamed of –because other players with a bit of patience can crack open the eggshell– but it offers more strategic space for players to customize their mopes.

So, there it is the big beautiful picture. Whether you wanna play Mope.io on our site or go download the app and play on your mobile device anytime you want, we’re happy to have you in the arena. Going into the third quarter of 2021 we took surprised everyone again by announcing that <a href="https://www.addictinggames.com/blog/how-to-play-flash-games-in-2021">Flash ain’t going anywhere.</a> You remember Flash, don’t you? The Actionscript-based platform that was responsible for the dumbest early internet website intros and the genesis of the casual gaming revolution? Well, for a long time people were counting down the days to the end of Flash. First Apple wouldn’t support it on its mobile devices and then browser by browser announced that they would no longer be supporting it after one update or another. We all thought we were going to have to kiss Flash and all related games goodbye, but then <a href="https://ruffle.rs/">Ruffle </a>showed up and changed the game. The 35 million dollar acquisition went down in TK and came as a surprise to many who follow the gaming sphere. But really if you look at the Enthusiasts model, what Addicting Games has to offer, and how we are able to synergize with them to create something new, something better, then maybe it isn’t such a surprise. Our catalog of original games is really unmatched in the casual sphere and that doesn’t even take into consideration a bottomless pit of Flash games or our sister sites like Typeracer.com, Mathgames.com, and Shockwave.com. We’re excited to be a part of the Enthusiast family and we can’t wait to show them and you everything we’re capable of in the coming days, weeks, months, and years.

As for our plans, our machinations, and all the tricks and treats we’ll be leaning on and whipping out in the year to come, well you’re just going to have to wait to see what we have in store. Little Big Snake is closing out the year with another surprise upgrade. We’ve been secretly developing a brand new feature for the game and are finally ready to debut it. That is right, folks, Pets are here! We all love pets, don’t we? Whether it's dogs, cats, bunnies, beetles, or snakes: Pets are what make most people's workday lives bearable. And your favorite snake-friends in <a href="https://www.addictinggames.com/io-games/littlebigsnake-io">Little Big Snake</a> are really no different. Think about it, these snakelets spend their whole lives alone in a vicious arena where their sole purpose is to struggle and slither their way to the top of the leader board. Often they don't make it – there is always a bigger snake after all. So, why go it alone?

In <a href="https://littlebigsnake.com/">Little Big Snake </a>just like in real life, pets offer companionship, a sense of purpose, and some pretty cool abilities to compliment or contrast your own playing style. See, these new pets aren’t just for show, they don’t just boost morale, and they do a lot more than act as vanity accessories. These pets have their own individual suite of upgradable abilities and they want to use those abilities to help you on your mission to own the pit and become the sultan of slither!

The pets in our latest update are all completely autonomous. You won’t need to worry about controlling them or switching over to manage their performance. All you have to do is choose the one you want and get playing. That choice is important when it comes to dealing with these pets because no two of them are alike, well, technically they are “alike” in the broadest of terms but to be more accurate you would maybe say “no two are the same.”&nbsp; Our pets all exist in a variety of different categories like brawlers, idlers, and gluttons. And as of this writing, there are ten different ones to choose from. We’ll describe the process of unlocking each pet, finding them, and them upgrading them in the following paragraphs. Stay tuned for a little bit of a breakdown on their powers, abilities, and some neato tactical tips as well! First of all, you’re going to need to get yourself a Pet. Right now we have a built-in pre-requisite of players being at level 10 before they can unlock their pets. So, if you haven’t reached level 10 yet then bookmark this blog, open another tab, navigate to <a href="https://littlebigsnake.com/">Littlebigsnake.com</a> and get grinding!

For those of you who are already level 10 or higher, let us continue.

After you’ve signed into your account and hit play you should be brought to the menu section. Along the bottom of the screen is a bar with icons linking to Shop, Lair, Evolution, Achievements, and now Pets! Click on the Pets icon and it will bring you to the Pets sub-menu. Here you will see a division between the Pet Kennel and the Pet Squad. To unlock a Pet you’ll need to hit the Search button in the Kennel section, this action will cost you 99 Rubies. At this point, an animated slot machine should show up and you can pull the arm on it by clicking or tapping on the handle. After a few seconds, an egg will pop out, and voila! You’re the proud owner of your first Pet! While there are different genres of Pets like Brawlers, Idlers, and Gobblers, there are also different categories of Pets based entirely on their rarity. For example, the most common type of pet available is the Ordinary category. The less common pets are categorized as Epic, Rare, and Legendary respectively. Now that you have your first pet you’ll want to select them within the Kennel box. You’re now ready to play with your first Pet! But, be warned, for the Pet doesn’t just automatically come tethered to your snake-friend at the beginning of play. Assigning the Pet in your Kennel only gives you the opportunity to find it on the map after you’ve begun playing. Now that you have your first pet you need to learn all about evolving their skills. This is done by collecting more randomized cards and feeding them to the Kennel in order to upgrade your Pet. As you make upgrades you will see nominal improvements and advancements in the Pets stats and the execution of their particular abilities. You can also unlock more spaces in the Kennel to fit more pets which you can also later unlock and upgrade. This will give you versatility in your play style and allow you to test different Pets with different abilities at varying skill levels in order to perfectly tweak your play style.

We’re also utilizing a resource called “Feed.” Just like a real pet, you’re going to need to keep your Pet fed, and in this game that feed is going to be crucial in the maintenance of your pet's abilities. For example, Feed can be used to double your Pets invulnerability time and re-spawn rate for 24 hours. This is done by collecting and feeding the Pet cards you have no use for, thus, even if you get a few Pet cards you don’t need or want while you’re searching for pets, you’ll be able to use whatever you find in some capacity. It is never a waste to keep searching. If a Pet hasn’t activated its 24 hours of invulnerability you also have the option of knocking it out of the sky and eating it! This is a function that must be used strategically so munch wisely, snake friends.

But did you know that Inklink technically isn't a new game at all? See, the history of Inklink actually goes back long before <a href="https://www.addictinggames.com//blog/what-are-io-games">IOgames were even a thing</a>, way back to the bad old days of <a href="https://www.shockwave.com/">Shockwave.com</a>. That's right! Before we talk about the re-launch of <a href="https://inklink.io/">Inklink.io</a> we should give you a quick history lesson on the original Inklink.&nbsp;

Back in 2004, Inklink debuted as a free browser-based game with a novel, web-based approach to classic party games like Pictionary: play online with MSPaint style drawings while other players from around the world type in their guesses. It was a simple but ingenious idea that utilized existing technologies to synthesize something new: a true real-time social gaming experience in your browser. Hello spooky people, players, and other ghouls who like games. We are happy to have you back for our second annual round-up of our favorite new horror games. This year we dedicated ourselves to the big beautiful meta-genre of monster games. Halloween is cool and haunted houses are fun but deep down in the depths of our subconscious, all of us love monsters. The ‘Creature Feature’ is a staple of the horror world whether you’re talking about movies like the Thing, Jaws, and Aliens, or console games like Dead Space, Silent Hill, and Bloodborne. Monsters make the best villains and that is why they are the true heroes of horror games. Sometimes it feels good to be bad, sometimes you want to be the bump in the night, and cause the pang of fear in the hearts of your enemies.

So, here is a bloody bouquet of our favorite monsters games of the last year (or so.) We focused a lot on zombies because, well, there are a lot of zombie games out there and most of them are really good. We also went outside the box with some classic real-world monsters that are extremely addicting to play and satisfying to become. As the normies settle down with their pumpkin spice lattes, candy corn, and poorly carved pumpkins, we hope you’ll hunker down with our horror games and play long into the night.

Who is the Jack o’copter? Where does he come from? What does he want? Is the Jack o’copter a good guy, a bad guy, or something darker still? We may never know for sure, but we do know that he loves candy, in fact, he loves candy so much he is willing to risk his life for it. This is an endless drifter game where you avoid a never-ending series of obstacles and baddies to feed that sweet tooth and keep the demons at bay.

Many people would be surprised to find out that after the zombie apocalypse, life continued on basically the same as it was before. It makes sense though because --after all-- it is death that changed: not life. In any event, the roads are still standing and you still have places you gotta go but the zombies have machinations of their own. In this endless racer, you’ll be driving down the freeway, avoiding oncoming traffic and smashing as many of the deadheads as possible under the wheels of your custom sports car. You may think it is absurd that even in death a person will wander around aimlessly with no real goal or destination, but ask yourself: Are you really any different?

Sometimes you’re the slingshot, sometimes you’re the monster. The intersection between 
physics, reflexes, and color recognition comes into play in this ultra-bright game of never-ending monster invasions. As the ghouls fall from the sky you’re armed with only your slingshot and a quiver of multi-colored balls. All you have to do is match the ball to your target and take them out. The problem is that there are more balls than monsters so you’re going to have to make every shot bank, bounce and bring down as many monsters as possible.

Paper, Rock, Scissors is probably the first game most of us ever learn, and in the world of Zombeat.io, it might very well be the last game you play. This is a mobile-ready, multiplayer game of pure massacre and mutilation. A world where everyone is a zombie and all you do is run, kill, and swap teams. You’ll randomly spawn as a zombie in one of three colors. You can only kill one specific opposing color, and the remaining color can kill you but don’t think of this as a team game, it’s not. While there are sides there are no teams and you can utilize floating portals to swap your color as you play. It is a unique never-ending battle royale that is good year-round but pure magic on Halloween.

Jaws was a good movie but we never got enough of the best character: The Shark! If you love the bleat of that cello and want to see what it’s like to be the beast then Shark 3D is the ultimate game for you. This is a 3-D arena royale that puts you behind the black little eyes of the world’s most optimal predator. Choose your shark then dive into an underwater arena filled with other hungry chum-monsters who are looking for fresh blood. Charge your prey and swallow them whole in this epic game that turns the tables on one of horrors most iconic monsters.

Addicting Games has acquired the classic iogame <a href="https://diep.io/">Diep.io</a>. Fresh off of <a href="https://venturebeat.com/2021/09/07/enthusiast-gaming-acquires-addicting-games-for-35m/">having been acquired ourselves</a>, we’ve gone ahead and taken ownership of one of the most popular iogames on the internet and we couldn’t be more excited about it. Diep.io is a minimalistic tank game developed by Matheus Valadares. Those in the know should recognize that name, as Valadares is also the developer responsible for the game that kicked off the iogames revolution: <a href="https://agar.io/#ffa">Agar.io.</a> “It’s (Diep.io) loosely based on bubble tanks, a popular flash game from back in the day,” Valadars said. “But also, a game I made as a kid called Diepix.” No word yet on whether or not his childhood passion project “Diepix” will be included in the deal, but we’re happy enough to add just Diep.io to our already stellar roster of original iogames which includes <a href="https://www.addictinggames.com/io-games/little-big-snakeio">Little Big Snake</a>, <a href="https://www.addictinggames.com/io-games/evio">ev.io</a>, and<a href="https://www.addictinggames.com/io-games/mopeio"> Mope.io</a>. Diep.io is a hyper-minimalistic, polynomial tank game. In Diep.io players take control of a 2-dimensional geometric shape with a cannon strapped on and are let loose in a white and grey gridded arena. You’ll be faced with tiny squares and circles which act as obstacles but can also be destroyed for points. The points that you earn are traded in for a wide variety of upgrades to your armor, speed, attack, and damage. These upgrades allow the player to customize and optimize their own tank in order to build the perfect weapon to hunt down And destroy other player’s tanks.

By choosing to upgrade your class you can upgrade in increments of 15 up until the final level of 45. Each increased level offers you special abilities unavailable to the lower classes. Whether you choose to upgrade your class or specific abilities you are given a wide range of options that you can employ to serve your particular strategy or the game mode itself, and the game mode is important. See, in Diep.io you aren’t strictly limited to playing a game of attrition. It isn’t just about being the last player standing and it isn’t just about racking up the most kills. Well, it could be if you really want it to be, but there is still ever more depth to be mined because Diep.io features multiple game modes and styles of play each with its own unique and specific path to victory. For example, in Diep.io you can choose to play the classic FFA (also known as a Free For All) or you can try your hand at “Survival” a version of the game which is similar to Free For All but doesn’t allow you to respawn after death. There are also two variations on team modes where players work with other players against another team of players. You can also play “Domination” mode where you act as part of&nbsp; a team to&nbsp; capture the other team’s “Dominators.” We also offer a classic match of tag (Nuff said) or a game that takes place inside a maze where impenetrable grey walls separate the players and must be keenly navigated. Finally, there is the sandbox mode, one of the oldest game modes which are most similar to FFA but starts the players off on a much smaller map and allows you to use cheats! Cheats aren’t exactly what you thinking, in this game a “cheat” is just the ability to temporarily try various abilities and classes without actually buying them. We believe this allows players to test out their builds and make informed choices about any upgrades they might want to make in the future.

As you can see, Diep.io is a solid addition to our already deep bench of original iogames. But we’re not just going to be taking control of the game and putting it out to pasture. No, we’ll actually be working on the mechanics and iterating it as we go, just ask local gamer and CEO Bill Karamouzis: “We plan to add daily and weekly in-game leaderboards, new game modes, achievements, and cosmetics, We are rebuilding the mobile version from scratch to improve the player experience.” While upgrades and improvements are always good we’re well aware that a game with a solid and loyal user base might not want change, after all not everybody likes change. As fan favorite and fearless leader Bill Karamousis told us: “We learned from<a href="https://play.typeracer.com/"> TypeRacer</a>, our browser-based typing game, that some players don’t like change. Hence we will add a classic mode, which will allow players to experience the game unaltered by cosmetics. But for those who want goals to work towards, such as new achievements and cosmetics, the options will be there.”

Hello, gamer friends. This month we want to talk to you about streamers. Nobody ever thought video games would become a spectator sport but here we are living in a world where you can kick back in the comfort of your own home and watch your favorite Tiktok personality or Twitch celebrity do speed runs of video games that were made before they were born. It’s fun and it’s a perfect simulacrum of actually having friends and hanging out with them (or so we’ve heard). Those of you with friends can weigh in on this in the comments. In any event, we’ve been doing some streaming and we like it. Well, actually we haven’t been doing the streaming. That would be hard since as a company we are by definition incorporeal and not having a material existence or associated identity makes it pretty hard to get in front of a camera and play video games. So, we’ve actually been working with some of the best and brightest streamers out there, people you may have heard of, people you may not have heard of, people you may know, and people you may not want to know.

In this blog entry, we want to show you some of the coolest moments of our preferred streams and introduce you to our favorite streamers! You know, now that we think of it this article should have maybe been a stream or something but again: incorporeal, so you’ll just have to humor us on this one. Don’t worry though there will be plenty of links to click and clips to watch as you scroll through!

First up is <a href="https://www.twitch.tv/mizkif">Mizkif</a>, a Twitch streamer. Mizkif has over 1.5 million followers and to date has a combined view count of almost 68 million. It is truly bonkers to try and wrap your head around that kind of viewership. But what might be even crazier is that Mizkif once famously made over five grand from streaming a video of him asleep. For six hours viewers could watch a stream of Mizkif passed out on a cot near his gaming station. He had enabled media sharing and was wearing headphones so he could hear the audio of anything viewers shared. Viewers tried to wake Mizkif from his slumber by playing loud, jarring, or shocking media but it didn’t work. For six hours he just snoozed while the dollars rolled in. We here at Addicting Games support this kind of innovation and salute anyone who can stack racks while counting sheep. His videos show off everything he can do in a game from controlling the map to some of the most epic take-downs and come-ups in the gaming world. You can watch him slither his way to the top and devastate the noobs in the pit or just show off some neat tactics and strategies that you can use while playing. It is a fun and fascinating way to learn tips and tricks about Little Big Snake as well as see the game played by a true gamer and consummate professional. Serkan Ay has been representing Little Big Snake for a long time and we were proud to finally team with him on these play-throughs of Little Big Snake. Check out this highlight of him crushing it.

His following on Youtube quickly blossomed into a solid twitch channel and we highly recommend that you go check it out after you watch some highlights of them making a mockery of their opponents in Little Big Snake.

We've been the premeire publisher of IOGames and HTML5 games for a few years now and were able to transition seamlessly from a market dominated by Actionscript and Flash games to a brave new world of desktop and mobile games. We've moved on from Flash —clearly— but that doesn't mean there isn't a place for classic Flash games in our inventory or in our player's lives. Welcome to our first blog post about our newest game <a href="https://ev.io/">ev.io</a>. We’re proud to share this game with you and take some time to talk about it now before we do a bigger launch down the line. Ev.io is a futuristic first-person shooter that puts you in the boots —and sights— of mecha warriors who fight for glory, victory points, and fun. It is a battle royale game that currently has three modes of play —Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and Last Team Standing— but a little birdy told us that <a href="https://twitter.com/play_evio/status/1382721621727735808?s=20">a bunch more game modes are on their way.</a> Now, we’ve been doing an extended rollout on this game because it has a lot to offer and there’s a lot of content to digest. This blog posting isn’t going to be a deep dive into anything specific. Consider this more of a brief overview of what is in the game and what you can expect. In the future, we might do a preview of maps, weapons, or cosmetics, and depending on the availability of our dev crew we might do a strategy guide or even a behind-the-scenes on what it takes to make one of the best browser-based first-person shooters on the internet.

But for now, we’re just going to cover the most basic of the basics.

Like most of our games, Ev.io was in development for a good little while, and just like <a href="https://littlebigsnake.com/">Little Big Snake</a> or <a href="https://tacticscore.io/">Tactics Core</a>: the time, work, and effort the team put into its creation really comes through in the gaming experience. For example, each map is original but has a familiar feel —like the faded memory of your favorite level from a console of times gone by. Do not expect low-effort maps or re-skins of the same layout. Each map is an original, artisanal design that has been playtested and perfected for optimal enjoyability. Whether you’re cowering under the red skies of our “Dusk” map or taking it to new heights on the “Sanctum” level you can be sure there are places to hide, perches to camp, and other Easter eggs like teleporters, and hidden ledges that make discovering the maps almost as much fun as the game itself. Imagine if you will, a labyrinth of nooks and crannies which lead to plateaus of open spaces and blocking terrain. Each map in ev.io is designed with care to ensure a balanced canvas for you to paint the town red with your very own art of war. Currently, there are 13 maps you can get to know, love, fear, and respect. As with all of the game's content, however, there will be more on the way. In fact, you can pop into the game's official Discord to vote on your favorite current map, request new ones, and give your much-valued feedback to our hardworking team of designers and developers. Remember; we work hard so you can game hard.

Ev.io also has an extensive and ever-growing catalog of cosmetic armors and unique weapons that you can unlock by grinding away and earning them or by buying them with real human dollars. We respect and appreciate you however you decide to go about upgrading your characters because we know that these upgrades rule and even the most casual of players are going to want to get hooked up. Players who play to win should also dress the part. Why show up to the battle royale in the newb armor when you can teleport in wearing the rare cobra skin? Our cosmetics collection rotates regularly and the different skins are listed by rarity, availability, and cost. It is a system that allows players to express themselves with a truly unique look and allows different clans to differentiate themselves with a uniform look. There is nothing more terrifying to an opposing squad than a fully coordinated clan of well-dressed mecha-assassins hungry for blood and ready for war. But don’t take our word for it, play a game of ‘Last Team Standing” against a clan dressed to the nines in our Legendary Oni skin and feel for yourself the visceral impact that coordinated aesthetics can have on even the most jaded gamer. As Ru-paul once said, “When you become the image of your own imagination, it’s the most powerful thing you could ever do.”

Ev.io is also breaking a lot of new ground with our dedication to unique abilities and mechanics. Besides offering the player a selection of three different starting guns to choose from, all with their own strengths and weaknesses, ev.io comes complete with a teleportation mechanic that allows players to *BAMF* their way across the board. It comes in handy when you’re under fire or want to surprise opponents by ‘porting into the middle of a firefight. Yes, teleporting is cool and yes it is seamlessly integrated into the flow of gameplay so that anyone can intuitively plan their jumps and basically use superpowers in the middle of a shoot-out. But, it's not even the coolest ability that ev.io has to offer. You can instead choose to equip your character with the much-vaunted triple jump. Remember how much you liked double-jumping in your favorite platformers? Well, we’re taking that to the next level —literally—&nbsp; with the triple jump! Triple jumping is basically diet-flying. It’s like one of those dreams where you’re gliding through a summer meadow with your feet dangling in the air behind you and your face touching the blades of grass beneath you as you float onwards and upwards to victory.

The triple jump in this game is a tactical marvel that lets you leap out of a kinetic situation, sneak up on enemy hostiles, or avoid incoming sniper fire by hopping out of range and circling behind them. The feeling of the triple jump in this game is so natural that once you start using it you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it. Our level designers have also taken into account a player's ability to make super-natural leaps and thus if you go looking you’re sure to find lots of areas —above and below— that can only be accessed via the magic of the triple jump. If you haven’t tried the triple jump yet, what are you waiting for? Head to your settings menu, activate it, and get hopping.

Beyond these marquee abilities, the game has a relatively complex ability system that stems from the use of various types of grenades and leveling up. For example, you don’t have to just choose between triple-jump and teleport. Those are just the ends of the spectrum. Within that gradient, there is a lot of room for customization and toggling. We also have a stamina bar that affects your sprinting and teleporting but not your triple-jumping. The diversity of the movement abilities alone are enough for most devs to hang their hat on but ev.io is a little extra in a lot of ways. We already mentioned the three different guns a player can choose from when starting the game but this doesn’t even scratch the surface of weapons available in the arena and for purchase from the store. Once you start tabulating all of the possible combinations of weapons, grenades, movement abilities, maps, clans, and attack strategies you realize that there is a breadth and depth to ev.io which is not found in most other browser-based shooters. There is a lot of originality in ev.io but it is all based on a reliable and well-worn genre of gaming that stretches back to the early ’90s.
