Space Marine 2 Anniversary II Update Is Live

The Anniversary II update for Space Marine 2 is now officially live. If you missed it, this update isn’t just a celebration; it also brings a brand-new Siege Mode spin-off, new progression mechanics, weapons, armor pieces, and the first two DLCs for Season Pass 3.

Two Years of Space Marine 2

It’s hard to believe that it’s already been two years since Space Marine 2 took the world by storm. Since then, we have added a bunch of new maps for both PvE and PvP, a ton of new weapons, one new class with another on the way, and, of course, a mountain of skins.

In this patch, we are getting a twist on the ever-popular Siege Mode, with Chaos Siege. It’s exactly how it sounds; it’s like playing regular Siege Mode, but you are Chaos Space Marines fighting against the Imperium. It’s just as good and bloody as it’s always been, and if you aren’t a big PvP enjoyer, this is your chance to really indulge in Chaos.

We’re also getting the new Crucible Mode, a system that lets players take on additional Penances designed to make their Operations even more challenging. Completing an Operation while a Penance is active will earn you Purity XP, which you can use to unlock unique customization items and armor pieces.

And of course, it wouldn’t be a new major patch without a few new armor pieces and weapons, but the Tactical Class is also getting a full rework!

As for what’s in store for the year, the developers have already shown us the next four upcoming patches.
