Battlefield 6 Is Getting a Dead Space Crossover

Battlefield 6 just dropped its newest trailer for Season 5, and with it comes one of the game’s more bizarre crossovers yet. We are not only hitting the strip but Area 51 as well, and when the brand-new Halloween event rolls around, we will finally see what’s underneath: a Marker from the Dead Space franchise.

Something Hidden, Something Buried

At the end of the brand-new Gameplay Trailer for BF6 Season 5, we got a quick glimpse of an iconic Marker from Dead Space seemingly inside the top-secret Area 51 base. From early guesses about this small teaser, this Marker is red, which likely means mankind built it. Whether this is true or even canon in the Battlefield universe is up for debate, but it’s a noteworthy detail that might bleed into the upcoming Halloween event.

Currently, at the time of writing, we don’t know exactly when the Dead Space crossover will drop or what the rewards will be, but since it’s a Halloween update, we can likely assume it will be around the end of the month.

Also, according to a new press release, the eventthe Dead Space Halloween event will be a new PvE experience where, you guessed it, the Marker is trying to corrupt the world.

But one thing is for certain. The community is equally excited and nervous since Battlefield 6 initially promised the player base it would keep their cosmetic rewards realistic, and there have been some clashes along the way. With a fresh Sci-Fi crossover, who knows if they’ll keep that vision?
