Risk of Rain 2 just dropped its brand-new Hallowed Concepts DLC, but not quite in the way anyone expected. After ads teased that today’s livestream would finally reveal the DLC’s release date, fans tuned in expecting a launch announcement. Instead, the devs went one step further and released the DLC today, turning what looked like a release date reveal into a surprise launch.
Hallowed Concepts Out Now
That’s right: the highly anticipated Hallowed Concepts DLC for Risk of Rain 2 is out now for $14.99. In total, if you do buy, you will be getting a total of:

- 7 New Enemies

- 5 New Items
- A New Item Type: Hallowed Items

The moment is here, and it’s finally time to learn the secrets of N‘kuhana, a name whispered in the background of Risk of Rain 2 lore for years. Players can finally dive into and fight through the haunting, unexplored regions of Petrichor V, face new, harrowing Trails, and uncover never-before-seen powers.
Only one player needs to own Hallowed Concepts to enable the monsters, levels, and items to appear in-game for the whole lobby. However, players without the new DLC won’t be able to select the new Survivors or permanently unlock any of the new items, logbooks, or other rewards.
