Battlefield 6 just dropped the trailer for Season 5, and the fight is heading straight to Sin City! That’s right, Battlefield 6 Season 5 is taking us to Las Vegas next week, bringing a handful of brand-new maps, some reworks, new weapons, vehicles, a new Operation, and even a Dead Space crossover.

War in Sin City

Season 5 is taking us straight into the heart of Las Vegas. Soon, players will be able to deploy right onto the Strip, bringing hellfire and destruction to some of those familiar casinos where you may have lost a little too much money before.

But that’s not the only place we’re heading. We’re also deploying to Area 51, and whatever we end up finding inside is sure to be one of the strangest things Battlefield 6 has thrown at us so far.

In total, Season 5 will add three brand-new maps, although one of them is still being kept under wraps. Two existing maps are also getting reworks: New Sobek City and Blackwell Fields. Honestly, Blackwell probably needs the makeover the most.

And, as always, a new season means new weapons. Season 5 is bringing six new additions to the arsenal:

  • MK 24 — Assault Rifle
  • MCX Rattler LT — Submachine Gun
  • Zastava M84 M — Light Machine Gun
  • Noveske N4 — Carbine
  • Cadex CDX-40 — Bolt-Action Rifle
  • MK 1 Mod 0 — Designated Marksman Rifle

As for some new wheels, the trailer showed off the M142 HIMARS and B-1B Lancer Bomber. And yes, we already got to see exactly what these things can do, with the trailer showing them obliterating the European Casino tower and the Area 51 control tower.

REDSEC & More

Season 5 is also bringing Platoons into the game, giving players another way to group up as Battlefield’s massive lobbies get even bigger. We’re also getting Multiplayer Leaderboards, while REDSEC is getting a new Rapid Royal mode that moves the action onto the Las Vegas Strip.

Speaking of REDSEC, the Battle Royale side of Battlefield 6 is also getting Ranked Battle Royale and Open Series, alongside a brand-new Operation called High Roller.

And then there’s easily the weirdest part of the entire update.

This year’s Halloween event is actually going to be a Dead Space crossover. We don’t know exactly what rewards players will be able to earn just yet, but the crossover is already turning some heads. Battlefield 6 has made a big deal about maintaining its grounded art style, so it’ll be interesting to see exactly how Dead Space fits into that world.

Either way, Battlefield 6 is going all-in on Sin City for Season 5, and we’re going to find out just how much chaos Las Vegas can handle.
