Overwatch Season 5 is officially here, and Blizzard isn’t exactly easing players into it. Alongside the arrival of the highly anticipated new Support hero Doctrine, Season 5 brings a brand-new map, major Sombra and Roadhog reworks, new events, Mythic Weapons, returning favorites, and even a surprising Solo Leveling crossover. There is a lot packed into this season, so let’s break down everything dropping today.

Season 5: A Grim Doctrine

Season 5 is offically here, and with it comes bunch of new content for players to get excited about. But just in case you missed it, here is a quick rundown of everything dropping today:

First, we are getting a brand-new escort map, Watchpoint: Grímsvötn, which you might already know from the BlizzCon trailer, where we saw members of Talon risk their lives to free Overwatch’s newest support hero, Doctrine.

Next, we are getting the Sombra & Roadhog rework as well. Sombra is swapping roles, becoming a full support, with a few new abilities that push her into a more supportive flanking role. Roadhog, meanwhile, is getting a few new toys to play with, mainly a new ability that lets him suck up enemy projectiles like scrap before firing them back.

As for the skin department, we have the return of Dokiwatch. A new Halloween event: Mystery Madness: Graveyard Games. Unvaulted, Battle Passes. Two new Mythic Weapons for Wuyand and, finally, Lucio. And a surprising crossover with Solo Leveling.
