Deadlock’s New Hero Solomon Makes His Move

The votes are in! The third hero joining Deadlock’s The City Never Sleeps Update is Solomon! After Baba’s surprising victory last week, it’s finally time for the chess master to take the spotlight!
Solomon Joins Deadlock

The master of chess is finally making his move in Deadlock. Although the community initially expected Solomon to arrive earlier this week, Baba clearly had other plans. But that’s alright. A pawn always moves first.
As you might have guessed, Solomon’s entire kit revolves around placing and moving chess pieces across the battlefield. He can spawn up to two stationary Bishops and move them around within a short radius, damaging any enemies caught in their path. Each Bishop has its own cooldown, allowing Solomon to move both pieces at once or save them for the perfect opportunity.
He can also Knight allied players, granting them a shield and replenishing some of their stamina. But that’s not all! Solomon can move his allies like chess pieces, giving them a brief window of invulnerability while they travel to their new position.
Need to keep enemies in check? Solomon can launch a wave of wall-bouncing Rooks that immobilize anyone caught in their path. And, of course, no chess master would be complete without the Queen. This massive chess piece crashes down in a huge area of effect before stunning nearby enemies. While Solomon’s other pieces stick around indefinitely, the Queen can only move a limited number of times before disappearing.
Solomon already looks like he could have one of the highest skill ceilings in Deadlock, with plenty of room for clever plays and perfectly timed abilities. However, there’s still one big question: Will airborne enemies be his biggest counter? With so much of his kit focused on controlling the battlefield with chess pieces, it’ll be interesting to see how he fares against enemies who can simply stay out of reach.
