Deep Silver just dropped a massive new game overview trailer for the highly anticipated Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV, the long-awaited return of the iconic RTS franchise. The new trailer finally gives us a closer look at all the new and returning modes fans can expect when the game launches!

Dawn of War IV Overview

It’s been a long time coming! After several trailers showcasing all four factions arriving on Kronus, multiple battle reports, and even a delay, we finally have a big glimpse at everything coming to Dawn of War IV on December 3rd.

First up, we’re getting a full-fledged campaign for all four factions, featuring over 70 missions across various battlefields, complete with interconnected narratives. These factions include the Space Marines, featuring not just the Blood Ravens chapter but the Dark Angels as well, alongside the Adeptus Mechanicus, the undying Necrons, and the savage Orks. Each faction will be led by its own iconic characters, with a surprising appearance from the Primarch of the Dark Angels himself!

Beyond the campaign, players can look forward to the return of the classic Multiplayer Versus mode, bringing hectic battles ranging from 1v1 all the way up to 5v5. The ever-popular Skirmish mode is also making a comeback, giving players even more ways to jump into battle. Plus, you’ll be able to tweak match settings and rules to your liking, whether that means gathering resources faster, dealing more damage, or increasing the number of units you can field.

Returning Classics

That’s not all, either! Fans of Dawn of War II will be happy to hear that the beloved Last Stand mode is making its return. That’s right, you and your friends can take up arms as powerful champions from various factions and fight off waves of enemies, either on your own or alongside allies. If you’ve been itching to test your skills against increasingly dangerous enemies, this is one mode you’ll want to keep an eye on.

Finally, Dawn of War IV is bringing back the Model Painter, allowing you to customize your army with fresh new colors or give your troops a more battle-worn appearance. However, this time around, there’s an exciting new addition. For the first time in the series, you’ll be able to select individual elements on your army’s models, letting you customize everything down to the smallest details!
