With the release of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, CD Projekt Red has announced that the Edgerunners 2.5 update for Cyberpunk 2077 is dropping tomorrow, October 22. The update brings new quests, weapons, skill tree updates, and plenty more to Night City. Even after all these years, CD Projekt Red isn’t done with its neon-soaked playground.

Last Chance for a Slow Dance

The Edgerunners 2.5 update for Cyberpunk 2077 arrives tomorrow, October 22, bringing a ton of new features, both big and small, to Night City.

First up, you’ll find a brand-new clothing collection inspired by the show, available at various vendors, including Maxiwear, Jinguji, NetWatch, and IconAmerica, along with a few other locations.

There are also four new TWINTONE skins for the Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech, available through Twitch Drops. On top of that, some hairstyles previously exclusive to NPCs are now available for V.

But let’s get to the bigger stuff. The update introduces a brand-new Edgerunners 2 side quest, a new radio station called 102.0 HKGN FM, and the City Tours side quest.

You’ll also be able to customize your hand cyberware at five new Glamdocs, giving your implants a fresh new look. This includes the Mantis Blades, Gorilla Arms, Monowire, and Projectile Launch System. Each Glamdoc operates out of a unique shop, complete with its own introductory scene, voice-over, and animations. They also offer a unique catalog of cyberware skins with customizable colors.

But that’s not all! CD Projekt Red is adding a brand-new Double Trouble perk, allowing you to dual-wield Power-category Pistols and Revolvers. You can find it in the Cool skill tree alongside four auxiliary perks. Plus, the update introduces more than 40 new cyberware variants, giving you even more reasons to jump back into Night City for another playthrough.

CD Projekt Red is also adding new frames inspired by the Cyberpunk Trading Card Game to Photo Mode, along with 12 new Minor Arcana Tarot Cards to discover across Night City. These new cards tie into a side quest that expands on Fool on the Hill.

And if that still isn’t enough for you, the developers are introducing cross-platform mod support, allowing players to install a selection of community-created mods directly through the in-game menu. More mods will roll out over time, too. The feature won’t be limited to PC, either, with support planned for Mac, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, and Xbox Series X|S.

If the first Edgerunners taught us anything, it’s that a new wave of players could soon be heading back to Night City. With all these new additions, CD Projekt Red looks ready to welcome players back.
