The show will be livestreamed through the official Gamescom channels, with ANANTA appearing during the presentation. So this means that the game will not necessarily be at the exact start time. We just know that it will have a presentation at some point during the show.
And this does not look like it is going to be just another teaser. This is not confirmed, but you can probably expect things like:
- New trailer
- Gameplay presentation
- Release Date
- Monetization details
- And more
A Lot of Hype Around Ananta
ANANTA, previously known as Project Mugen, has been surprisingly silent considering how much hype and attention it received when it was first revealed. The last main gameplay presentation came over 10 months ago, showing off the game’s huge urban open world and its mix of driving, parkour, swinging between buildings, combat, and other ways to explore the city. New gameplay footage surfaced on Bilibili a couple of weeks ago as well, showing off a surprisingly detailed section of the game’s open-world city and even exploration near the water, giving us a much better idea of what the city and everything will really look like. The video remains rather short, so there is not that much to see overall, but still really nice to see.
The game takes place in Nova City, where you take on the role of an A.C.D. agent. The open world is designed around giving players plenty of freedom in how they move around and interact with the city. And considering how ambitious ANANTA looked the last time we saw it, I am very curious to see what the team has been doing with the game since then.
The Gamescom presentation could be our first proper look at how much the project has evolved. After such a long period without big updates, I am definitely curious to see what ANANTA has in store.
Hopefully, this “fresh look” means a lot of new gameplay, and most importantly, a release date! Because I definitely want to play this one!
