GTA VI Reviews: When Do They Come Out and Is There an Embargo?
The launch of GTA VI is rapidly approaching, and waves of write-ups and reviews will be coming with it. To keep you prepared for the most anticipated release of the year, here’s all you need to know about the embargo dates and review copies for GTA VI.
Rockstar Remains Silent
Despite its release next month, Rockstar has yet to mention anything about potential review dates or review copies for GTA VI. Instead, much like with the rumored PC version or Online mode, Rockstar is keeping their hands close to their chest.
However, this doesn’t mean no information has come out about potential embargo dates. Insider Gaming for example states that GTA VI reviews will appear before its launch on November 19th. Given the scale of the GTA series this implies that reviewers will be sent copies well in advance.
This is something that renown leaker NateTheHate has supported. When commenting on that same Insider Gaming article NateTheHate explained that review copies would go out before the end of the month. Meaning that certain reviewers could receive the game by the end of October.
Its not unheard of for the embargo date on GTA games to be close to their release. GTA V’s embargo was only one day before its launch on September 17th, 2013.
With all this information going around, its no wonder people are starting to worry about spoilers. GTA Boom has presented an especially interesting example. A cinema in Paris will be showcasing streamer Vlad_CKa’s live play through on the big screen. This event is ticketed and is said to start the moment the game releases on the 19th.
Either way, as we are less than a month away from the launch of GTA VI, we are sure to hear more details from Rockstar soon.
