As GTA VI gets closer and closer, more and more fans are still deciding which version they want to grab and whether they want to preorder in the first place. Ultimately, there’s a pretty big difference between the Standard and Ultimate Editions, plus a handful of preorder bonuses you should know about.

Preorder Bonuses

The difference between the Standard and Ultimate Editions of GTA 6 is massive, but before we dive into that, you should know about the preorder bonuses.

If you preorder either edition, you’ll receive the Vintage Vice City Pack. It includes the ’55 Vapid Stanier Sedan and Garage, plus various outfits and hairstyles, plus an exclusive weapon pattern. Plus, if you preorder through an eligible digital storefront, you’ll get a free month of GTA+.

Standard vs. Ultimate Edition

Now, let’s get into the Standard and Ultimate Editions. If you buy the Standard Edition of GTA 6, you’ll get a copy of the game plus your preorder bonuses. That’s it.

But if you go big and grab the Ultimate Edition, you’ll get all of that plus a bunch of additional content, including:

  • Exclusive vehicles: Grotti Cheetah, Vapid Dominator Buggy, Dinka Enduro, Crest Kayak, Shitzu Squalo, and Ganado Retro Build.
  • Exclusive weapons: Hawk & Little Morgan Revolvers and personalized pistol variants.
  • Special locations: Rideout Customs, Sara’s Unisex Salon, Stock 305, Electric Fang Tattoo Parlor, One-Eyed Willie’s, and Paradise Garage.
  • Exclusive cosmetics: Vice City Styles outfits, Goodtime Gear clothing, hairstyles, tattoos, and customization options.
  • Extra activities: PTT Youngin$ Compound raids and the Classic Car Collection.

You can get all of this with the Ultimate Edition for $100, whereas the Standard Edition costs just $80. So, for an extra $20, you’re getting multiple new outfits, vehicles, activities, and exclusive locations, including salons, tattoo parlors, garages, and more.

That’s on top of the customization options you get from preordering, plus a free month of GTA+.

What About the Collector’s Box?

And that’s not even the most expensive version you can grab! There’s also the $400 Collector’s Box, which comes packed with real-life collectibles and other memorabilia. However, there’s one major catch: it doesn’t include a copy of GTA 6, so you’ll need to purchase the game separately.

So, is it worth spending the extra $20 for all those exclusive outfits, cars, locations, weapons, and more? Ultimately, it is likely worth grabbing the Ultimate Edition, since it offers exclusive shops, locations, and content you won’t be able to access in the Standard version. If it were just custom cars or outfits, we might not have looked at it, but the extra locations make that $20 feel like a worthwhile investment.
