Arknights: Endfield is officially coming to Steam on October 15th, and it’s bringing a massive free update along for the ride. Sanctuary of Ink introduces two new Operators, the return of Contingency Contract, and a new countryside inn mode that lets players grow crops and raise animals.

That’s right, there’s plenty to look forward to whether you’re a returning Endministrator or jumping into the game for the first time. Best of all, Arknights: Endfield is free to play, so you can check it out without spending a dime.

Progress Carries Over to Steam

If you’ve already been playing Arknights: Endfield on PC, PlayStation 5, or mobile, you won’t have to start over when the Steam version launches. The game supports cross-platform account synchronization, allowing you to carry over your existing progress by logging in with the same account.

Just make sure you’re using the same server, as progress cannot transfer between the Asia and Americas/Europe servers.

Welcome to Sanctuary of Ink

The new Sanctuary of Ink update introduces a fresh story chapter set in Si’s Painting, a new area in Wuling. Players will explore this painted world while uncovering more of the Endministrator’s past.

We’re also getting two new 6-star Operators, Si and Argent Flow, who will arrive through successive recruitment events. Alongside them, the update adds new weapons, missions, enemies, and challenges to tackle.

Contingency Contract Returns

If you’re looking for a tougher combat challenge, Contingency Contract is making a return with Indigo Experimental Operation.

This challenge mode lets players combine different modifiers to create their own combat challenges. You can take on additional restrictions in exchange for powerful advantages, testing how far you can push your team.

Completing event challenges also unlocks rewards, including up to 2,000 Oroberyl through the event’s reward exchange.

Run Your Own Countryside Inn

Not everything in Sanctuary of Ink is about fighting enemies. The update also introduces Yuanyuan’s Blazing Stoves, a new activity centered around running a countryside inn.

Players can grow crops, raise animals, prepare ingredients, and welcome travelers. You’ll also be able to expand your farm and inn while working toward event rewards, giving you another way to spend your time outside of combat.

With new Operators, returning challenges, and a whole new farming activity, Sanctuary of Ink brings plenty of fresh content to Arknights: Endfield. And with the game launching on Steam on October 15, there’s never been a better time to jump into Talos-II.
