Game Description
Terix.io is a fast-paced multiplayer territory .io game. Leave your base, draw a trail, and reconnect to claim tiles. Be careful, though, because your trail is vulnerable to other players. Shoot to damage enemy trails before they close theirs, gain score, level up, and climb the leaderboard.
How to play:
Terix.io is a territory control game. You start with a small 5x5 area of claimed tiles that's your safe zone. You also start with 15 seconds of immunity. Once you move outside it, you'll start drawing a trail behind you (trail tiles). Return to your own claimed tiles, and every tile your trail enclosed becomes claimed.
Be careful with going too far, because other players can shoot at your trail tiles. Unlike other similar .io games, a player crossing your trail will not automatically destroy you; in fact, it does nothing at all. Players damage your trail tiles by shooting at them. Each hit drains your trail health bar (shown at the top left). When it runs out, you're destroyed. Completing a loop refills it.
The core gameplay follows these ideas:
Claim: Leave your base, draw a trail, then reconnect to your territory to claim every tile inside the loop.
Shoot: Projectiles damage enemy trails. Keep hitting a player's trail to drain their health bar and destroy them. You can only shoot while you're outside your own tiles.
Level Up: Claiming tiles and destroying other players earns score. Each level grants you an upgrade point, which can be used to improve an aspect of your player.
Upgrades:
- projectile damage (projectiles do more damage)
- projectile piercing (projectiles can pass through trail tiles doing damage multiple times and pass through multiple enemy projectiles)
- projectile speed (projectiles move faster)
- projectile size (makes projectiles larger)
- projectile range (projectiles travel farther before they disappear)
- fire rate (shoot projectiles faster)
- multishot (every shot fires a fan of extra projectiles, and each one does less damage)
- radial fire (every shot also fires projectiles in a ring around you, hitting enemies on every side)
- burst shot (one trigger pull fires several shots in a row)
- trail HP (your trail tiles and your health bar have more health)
- trail regen (trail tiles regenerate health faster and with less delay)
- move speed (the player moves faster)
- extra claim (claim extra tiles outside your trail tiles when completing a loop)
- claim value (completing a loop is worth more score)
- destruction value (you take a bigger share of a player's score when you destroy them)
- FOV (zooms out the camera)
- thorns (part of the trail damage you take is reflected straight back into the attacker's health bar)
- long shot (projectiles do more damage the farther they have flown)
- ricochet (projectiles bounce off rocks instead of stopping, losing a little damage with each bounce)
- momentum (holding one direction builds up extra move speed, and turning resets it).
Leaderboard: The leader board is sorted by the score each player has.
