WARDOGS Season 2 Launches October 15

WARDOGS recently announced that Season 2 is already on the way, and it could bring the game’s first-ever wipe. The new season is expected to reset player progression while adding fresh content, map changes, and new weather states.

Season 2 Draws Near

Following a hugely successful opening month, WARDOGS is already preparing for its second season. While the developers haven’t revealed everything coming with the update just yet, they have confirmed that Season 2 will launch on October 15, 2026.

One of the biggest additions we know about so far is the introduction of new weather states for maps. However, these won’t function as dynamic events that suddenly change the weather in the middle of a match. Instead, players can expect additional weather variations to be available across the game’s maps.

For clarity – rain is an additional weather state per map and not a dynamic event mid match. More Season 02 information will be released on the leadup to Oct 15th.

The biggest question now is whether Season 2 will also bring WARDOGS’ first major progression wipe. While a wipe seems likely, it’s still unclear whether the developers plan to make wipes a regular part of each season or only use them occasionally. For now, players will have to wait for more details before knowing how often their progression could be reset.

If progression wipes become a regular part of WARDOGS’ seasonal structure, higher-level unlocks and weapons could become increasingly valuable for players who manage to hold onto them. That could give dedicated players another reason to push their progression as far as possible before Season 2 arrives.
