Minecraft Dungeons II is almost here, and there’s a ton of new content to catch up on before you and your friends dive back into the dungeon. From a brand-new dimension and a massive world overhaul to expanded combat and deeper build crafting, the highly anticipated sequel is bringing plenty of changes to the table. Here’s everything you need to know about what’s coming to Minecraft Dungeons II.

World Improvements

So, what’s new in Minecraft Dungeons II? Easily one of the biggest additions is a brand-new dimension, the Sift. This new dimension introduces completely new creatures never before seen in the Minecraft universe.

Speaking of the world, it’s evolving in a completely new direction. Instead of keeping the linear design of the first game, Minecraft Dungeons II is inviting players to experience a vibrant, interconnected world. Players can now journey seamlessly across various large regions that contain not just narrative plot points, but fast travel hubs, structures, settlements, and many other points of interest.

There’s so much to do in this expansive new world, so the developers are adding quests to Minecraft Dungeons II. Quests will be separated into different categories: main quests and side quests. As you adventure through the Overworld and the Sift, you’ll encounter all sorts of new mobs and NPCs that might need your help.

Combat and Enchants

As for combat, Minecraft Dungeons II is making a ton of improvements over the first game. Firstly, the developers are expanding the number of combat slots from 6 to 12. Armor is no longer a single item, and players can now equip a variety of pieces, including a helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots. There’s also a brand-new piece of equipment arriving: Talismans. Equipping one provides passive bonuses and additional build customization.

The enchanting system is also receiving some improvements. As you travel throughout the land, you’ll stumble across enchantment books containing unique enchantments. Once acquired, these will be added to a personal library of enchantments, which can be used at the local blacksmith to apply effects to any gear slot.

You can also level up and upgrade enchantments over time, giving players even more opportunities for build crafting.

Lastly, one of the other major changes coming to combat in Minecraft Dungeons II is that players can finally jump. Not only does this open up a ton of new ways to explore the world, but players can now traverse obstacle courses, jump over hordes of enemies, and perform a jumping attack with every weapon.
