Mycopunk Is Finally Ready for Its 1.0 Launch

Recently, Devolver Digital and the folks at Pigeons at Play announced that their beloved action online co-op looter shooter, Mycopunk, is finally launching out of early access on October 20th!

What is Mycopunk?

Mycopunk is seriously an underrated gem, boasting an incredible combat loop, fun and addictive movement, tons of upgrades, weapons, and best of all, you get to bring three of your friends along with you.

The game’s premise is pretty simple. You and your friends play as a ragtag group of rejects hired by the SAXON Corporation to form the newly established New Atlas Hazard Crew. As the corporation’s newest exterminators, you and your crew are sent across the planet to investigate the secrets and mysteries surrounding a catastrophic fungal outbreak.

Now you must embark on a bunch of dangerous planet-side missions to drive back the encroaching mycological menace, or to scrounge up enough money to pay off your taxes, whichever sounds better.

Mycopunk features a bunch of outlandish futuristic weapons to choose from, all fully upgradable via a grid-based upgrade system. Pack that together with a fast, fluid, and almost floaty movement scheme to master against hordes of enemies, and it’s a seriously phenomenal experience.

Every mission gives you new modes to throw into your upgrade kits by scrapping whatever robots and fungal life. There’s also a ton of built-in variety as well. Spec yourself out into being a frontline tank, a healing support, or a full-on melee build. Whatever you think suits your playstyle best.

Mycopunk is leaving early access on October 20th, and for only 15$, this game offers so much replayability it’s definitely worth every penny. Also, yes, the game is coming to consoles as well!
