GTA 6 Marketing Is Getting Out of Control

With the release of Grand Theft Auto 6 getting closer, Rockstar Games is finally ramping up its marketing campaign. From new trailer footage to real-world collaborations, GTA-inspired food, and new music, the hype around GTA 6 isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
The past few weeks have been especially busy for Rockstar, with new details and announcements popping up all over the place. Here are some new and old details you might have missed as we get closer to the highly anticipated launch of GTA 6.
GTA 6 Gets a New Trailer Cut on NBC Sports

On October 12, Rockstar aired a new version of the GTA 6 launch trailer during NBC Sports. While the trailer may look familiar at first, a few notable changes are worth pointing out.
The new cut features a longer shot of a plane and an extended scene with Jason and Lucia. Rockstar also removed the shower shots from the original trailer, allowing several other scenes to run a little longer.
While these changes may seem small, they’re another example of Rockstar continuing to tweak its marketing as GTA 6 nears release. Fans are keeping a close eye on every new trailer, screenshot, and promotional appearance, and they’re noticing even the smallest changes.
However, one st noticeable change is the complete removal of the Xbox logo. With PlayStation’s marketing partnership for GTA 6, it looks like Rockstar is putting even more focus on Sony’s console ahead of the game’s launch. This may be a one-time thing since the trailer was primarily filmed on the PS5, but maybe not.
Game Informer Reveals More GTA 6 Details
Before we dive into the latest announcements, let’s rewind to a few details you might have missed earlier this month.
Rockstar Games announced its Game Informer cover story for GTA 6, giving fans a fresh look at the upcoming game through new screenshots and details about its world.

According to the coverage, players can expect more than 170 animal species, hurricanes and tropical storms, and even legendary creatures hidden throughout the world. Rockstar seems determined to make Leonida feel alive, with plenty of wildlife and environmental events for players to discover.
New GTA 6 Screenshots Reveal More About Jason and Lucia
Speaking of old news you might have missed, Love Magazine shared some newer screenshots on Instagram a while back. These included comments from writers Elizabeth Gauvey-Kern and Alexa D’Agostino. The two discussed how they wanted Jason and Lucia to feel like real people rather than your typical protagonists.

According to the writers, the goal was to create characters who can make mistakes, learn from each other, and grow throughout their story, plus with the new trailer, that dynamic is becoming more abundantly clear. With Jason and Lucia at the center of GTA 6’s narrative, it’ll be interesting to see how Rockstar develops their relationship as the story unfolds.
GTA-Inspired Food and Beers Are Popping Up in Miami

Rockstar’s marketing push isn’t limited to trailers and magazine features. Over the past few weeks, we’ve also seen GTA-inspired food from Burger Shot and Cluckin’ Bell make its way into Miami’s Kaseya Center.
These real-world food promotions bring some of GTA’s most recognizable fictional brands into the real world, giving fans a taste of Vice City before they even get their hands on the game.
Speaking of Miami, fans also discovered several GTA-inspired beers and IPAs listed in a government database. The listings are associated with Tripping Animals Brewing, a Doral, Florida-based brewery, and include names inspired by the GTA universe.
While these listings don’t necessarily confirm a full official collaboration with Rockstar, they’re another interesting development in the growing wave of GTA-themed promotions appearing around Miami.
Miami Heat Official GTA 6 Collaboration
Speaking of bringing Vice City into the real world, the Miami Heat are hosting a special event called A Night in Vice City on November 18, 2026, just one day before GTA 6’s currently planned release date.
The collaboration is bringing Vice City to the basketball court with GTA-inspired uniforms, a themed court, and special merchandise. It’s another example of the game reaching beyond traditional advertising and becoming part of real-world events.

GTA 6 Gets New Music From Justice

Last but not least, Rockstar has been giving fans more music to get excited about. The GTA 6 launch trailer introduced Flower in a Hurricane, a new track by Justice featuring Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard.
Earlier today, Justice also dropped another track: Pusher, a collaboration with Gesaffelstein.
With GTA’s radio stations always playing a major role in setting the mood, new music announcements are another reason fans are paying attention to every little detail Rockstar reveals. It’ll be interesting to see what other artists and tracks make their way into GTA 6 when it finally launches.
GTA 6 Marketing Is Getting Insane

All in all, Rockstar’s GTA 6 marketing campaign is getting insane. It feels like everywhere you look, there’s another reminder that one of gaming’s biggest releases is just around the corner.
Whether it’s a new trailer airing during a basketball game, GTA-inspired food popping up in Miami, real-world collaborations, or new music hitting streaming platforms, Rockstar is making sure GTA 6 stays in the conversation.
And honestly, if the goal is to keep fans talking about the game until launch, it’s working. With November 19 fast approaching, it’ll be interesting to see what Rockstar has planned next.
