When Does the GTA VI Embargo Release
The launch of GTA VI is rapidly approaching, and that means players can expect full reviews of the game imminently. Whilst Rockstar hasn’t said anything yet, from rumors to leaks, here’s all you need to know about GTA VI’s potential embargo release.
Nothing Official Yet
GTA VI, the newest title from Rockstar Games is releasing this month on November 19th. Despite this, the studio has remained silent on when the review embargo will lift. This has left many players wondering when third party information about the game can be publicized.
Because of this, leaks and rumors about a possible embargo date have begun to pile up. As mentioned in out post on GTA reviews, Insider Gaming believes that there is an embargo, and reviews will be released before the game’s launch. However they do not give a date or time.
This is where the recent BlackBate leak differs. One of the key pieces of information shared with these leaks is that Rockstar plans to use a staggered embargo release. The leaks explain that Rockstar will allow larger, legacy media outlets to post their reviews the day before launch on November 18th. Whilst smaller sites and potentially YouTubers will have to wait until the day of to upload their own.
It’s important to remember that these are leaks, and to take any information from them with a grain of salt. Either way, GTA VI is almost here and players will be able to get their hands on the game themselves.
