GTA 6’s marketing campaign has already taken over Miami, but apparently, showing off some of Rockstar’s promotional material can come with a price. A Miami man claims he lost his job after sharing a viral video of GTA 6’s Vice City-branded beach advertisements.

Vice City Doesn’t Mess Around

The TikTok creator, Graham Simmon (@grahamsimmon8), originally posted the footage on October 14th, showing off a collection of GTA 6-branded beach chairs, umbrellas, and cabanas. Initally the video barely saw traction before it unexpectedly spread like wildfire across social media.

However, things apparently took a turn after the footage started spreading. On October 20th, Simmon posted a follow-up video explaining that he had been fired, adding, “I got fired because of GTA 6.”

According to Simmon, his employer wasn’t happy about the original video spreading online, and he ultimately lost his job over the footage. He later summed it up by saying GTA 6 essentially cost him his job.

His former employer has yet to confirm the story, but the video quickly spread across social media before the footage was pulled.

GTA 6’s Miami Marketing Campaign Keeps Growing

This isn’t exactly surprising, considering just how much Rockstar has been doing to promote GTA 6 across Miami. From Vice City-themed beach equipment to branded merchandise, restaurant collaborations, and advertisements around major landmarks, Rockstar has been turning the real-world city into a promotional playground for its upcoming game.

The beach campaign is just one small part of that effort, but it has now become the center of a rather unusual story.

With GTA 6 still scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, Rockstar’s marketing campaign will only become more noticeable as we get closer to release. Hopefully, other people showing off the promotional material won’t have quite the same experience.
