FromSoftware just announced that their newest game, the highly anticipated The Duskbloods, is getting delayed to 2027. Despite the recent successful closed beta tests and tons of content creators singing the game’s praise, the team has ultimately decided to delay the game’s release for more polish.

Duskbloods Delays

Today, FromSoftware announced that the developers want and need more time to polish core systems, gameplay aspects, and other elements identified not only by them, but also by the thousands of players who gave feedback during the beta testing period.

“During the network test, we saw active interest in the core concepts of the game, including combat, strategic depth, and player expression. To further enhance these aspects, we have decided to move the launch, allowing time for final adjustments to game rules and balancing.”

So, ultimately, the launch window for Duskbloods is now moving to 2027. As for what month or season, we currently have no idea at this time.

But any time that developers wish to delay a game because they think they can improve the overall experience, especially through community feedback, it’s ultimately a good sign. It means they care about what they are putting out, and with FromSoftware’s track record of amazing industry-setting titles, they have more than earned that trust. The Soulsborne and Duskbloods community will happily wait.
