Risk of Rain 2 Reveals New Acolyte and Enforcer Gameplay

Risk of Rain 2 just hot-dropped two brand-new survivors in the upcoming Hallowed Concepts DLC. In this new trailer, fans finally get to see some fresh gameplay for the newly introduced Acolyte and the return of the fan favorite Enforcer!

Heed The Concepts

It’s been a while since we’ve got any major news regarding the upcoming Risk of Rain 2 DLC, outside of the Dev Diary Series. But now all eyes are on Gearbox as they are planning to drop another duo Survivor DLC.

Firstly, there is the new arrival, Acolyte. She is described as a “close-range glaive-wielding” who can chain together combos. From her trailer, it appears that she can build up power or a meter based on enemy or possibly ally deaths, which unleashes a massive AOE.

Other than that, she has a lot of hack-and-slash moves like Mercenary, but also has the ability to sacrifice enemies, which also seems to add to her meter.

As for the second new arrival, old-school Risk of Rain 1 fans already know what the Enforcer is about. But from his ROR2 gameplay, we can see he still retains his ability to not just block but even parry enemy attacks. But easily, his coolest ability is to spam a flag into the ground, establishing a Rally Point, which no doubt will provide him and nearby allies with some buffs.

Sadly, despite all of this exciting news, we still currently have no idea when the Hallowed Concepts DLC will be dropping. So in the meantime, keep your eyes peeled; it could be arriving any day now from the looks of it.
