Marvel Rivals Adds Harsher Penalties for Match Leavers

Marvel Rivals has had a serious problem with match leavers, afkers, and players throwing games. Today NetEase is rolling out some increased penalties for repeat offenses across all tiers of play.
Bigger Punishments
Marvel Rivals is now rolling out a handful of changes targeting players who actively leave, throw, or afk during matches. These penalties apply not only to ranked, but also to casual and arcade matches.

However, they are implementing ways for you to appeal these penalties if you have a network disconnection, hardware crash, or other interruptions. You can submit an appeal through our Customer Support channels. However, it’s unclear how they will manually review these cases or how long it will take to lift any penalties from your account.
Either way, no matter what game mode you play in Marvel Rivals, you will now be penalized for leaving or disrupting a match.
