No Rest for the Wicked just dropped a major sneak peek at its upcoming class system, and it looks like players will soon have even more ways to customize their characters. The developers revealed that 24 brand-new classes and more than 280 class traits will arrive with the game’s Open Beta in December.

Class System Sneak Peek

It’s been a little while since we’ve heard from the developers of No Rest for the Wicked after the team sadly announced that the game would be delayed. Thankfully, the silence is finally over, and the developers have returned with our first look at the game’s brand-new class system.

While we haven’t seen much yet, the short preview already shows a wide variety of classes that should introduce plenty of new playstyles. The lineup ranges from familiar archetypes like the Cleric and Ranger to more unique options such as the Cutthroat, Stormbringer, and Dragoon.

The developers also confirmed that this is only a small taste of what’s coming. We’ll get a much closer look at the new class system during the Wicked Inside showcase in October, while players will eventually get their hands on the full system when the Open Beta launches in December.

If you’ve followed No Rest for the Wicked or spent time with its existing gameplay, you might be wondering how classes will actually work. Combat in the game currently revolves heavily around your weapons, with your choice of weapon playing a major role in determining your abilities and playstyle.

Thankfully, the developers have reassured players that they aren’t looking to lock anyone into a specific playstyle just because they picked a particular class. Instead, the new system should give players more flexibility.
