Torchlight: Infinite is back with its newest season, SS14: Tartarus! Inmates have escaped across the Netherrealm, and it’s your job to hunt them down, bring them back, and become their jailer. Become the Warden of Tartarus as you track down fugitives, collect their Prisoner Nameplates, and run your prison your way. You’ve got 20 turns to manage your inmates, pit them against each other, and prepare for the chaos that unfolds.

New Season “Tartarus”

Torchlight: Infinite’s newest seasonal mechanic, Tartarus, puts you in charge of rounding up escaped inmates across the Netherrealm. Once you’ve hunted them down and collected their Prisoner Nameplates, it’s time to put them to work in your very own prison.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Hunt down escaped prisoners: Track down fugitives across the Netherrealm and collect their Prisoner Nameplates to bring them back to Tartarus.
  • Build your own prison: House inmates across 16 prison cells, arrange fights between prisoners, and use beasts to make them stronger.
  • Take on the ultimate prison challenge: After 20 turns, face the inmates you’ve cultivated across three prison levels and six difficulty levels.

That’s not all. SS14 introduces a brand-new follower system, letting you recruit followers from four tribes: Lion, Wolf, Mammoth, and Rat. You can also customize their builds with active abilities, support skills, buffs, defensive options, and debuffs, giving you even more ways to fine-tune your character.

Outside the Prison

There’s plenty to look forward to outside Tartarus, too. Youga is getting a brand-new Hero Trait, The Ultimate One, which uses a rotating Clockwork Core to automatically cast equipped spell skills. If you prefer playing Priest Thea, she’s also getting a rework with updated Blessing mechanics and new build options.

SS14 also brings new Legendary gear, additional skills, and more ways to build your character as you push through higher Netherrealm difficulty tiers. You’ll also have opportunities to unlock stronger followers and progress even further into the endgame.

On top of all that, the update includes quality-of-life improvements to trading, loot, and gear progression. Whether you’re looking forward to managing your own prison or experimenting with new builds, Torchlight: Infinite SS14 has plenty to dig into.
