Overwatch Season 5 Reworks Sombra and Roadhog

BlizzCon stoked the hype for Overwatch yet again. Blizzard not only revealed a brand-new Support Hero and a free Mythic Skin. But Roadhog and Sombra are getting another massive rework!

Season 5 Reworks

First, the biggest rework is going to be Sombra. She is completely swapping roles after years as a DPS. Now she’s a Support, with her Hotfix hacking ability changing to heal allies over time. She can still hack health packs and most enemy deployables.

She is still keeping her Translocator, and now she can launch a projectile with Cyberspace that explodes on impact, weakening enemies and healing your allies.

Her ultimate is mostly the same, but of course, with the role change, all of her perks are getting changes as well.

As for Roadhog, the big lad is still staying as a Tank, but now he can absorb enemy projectiles with Trash Compactor before firing back a massive scrap pile. He is still keeping his iconic hook and Rebreather.

This change is ultimately trying to remove the hook-into-instant-death combo, but he still appears to be very strong from what we’ve seen on the BlizzCon showroom floor.

And just like Sombra, Roadhog is also getting some brand-new perks.

Ultimately, both of these characters have been balancing nightmares for Overwatch over the years, but maybe Blizzard finally got them right this time. Only time will tell.
