The Blood of Dawnwalker is not really allowing you to get a ton of money really fast. You pick up a few Denarii here and there during your exploration, and you can sell your old gear, but the best way to obtain Denarii is through selling something that is pretty much illegal when your valley is ruled by Vampires. And that is why it is so valuable. Silver is one of the better sources of cash once you know where to take it, but there is a small step you need to complete before you can even sell it.

Because Silver is illegal, normal vendors will never buy any of it from you. No one wants to risk it. So you need to find a Silver Trader first, and they are not really advertising their whereabouts either. After all, trading silver pretty much means you are risking your life. And once you find the trader, it is also not easy to find silver since most of it has already been destroyed by Brencis’ men.

But we might be able to help you with that! Here is how to unlock the Silver Trader and where to find one of the best silver stashes in the game.

How to Unlock the Silver Trader

As mentioned, before you can sell your silver, you will need to find the Silver Trader in Svartrau. He is not that hard to find, but he is just in a place where you do not necessarily think of going back to.

To unlock him, head to the cave located northwest of Laslea Glen. This is the village you start your adventure in. You can unlock that during the prologue, but it is best to do it later, because it will spend some time segments, and you already do not have that many during the prologue.

If you did the quest where you fish with your siblings, it is basically just behind that fishing spot. You will run into some wolves before noticing a cave. Inside the cave, you will have to deal with a Ravenous Bear. Once you have taken care of it, loot the body inside the cave to find a Tattered Letter. It is basically

The letter basically talks about a flat stone marked with an X, so you need to track this quest and head to the designated location. From there, look for a small roofless house with a flat stone inside and an X mark nearby, and pick up the “Letter with a Tip” inside.

Once you have done that, you can head to the Silver Trader in Svartrau. The option to trade silver items should now be available.

The Best Place to Farm Silver

Now that you unlocked the trader, you need Silver. Since it is illegal, Brencis is making sure that all things silver are being hunted down and destroyed, so you are not going to find a lot of it in every house you loot. However, there are a few places where you can get a good amount in one go.

One particularly good spot to check is the cave behind the Bright Side waterfall. There is a good stash of silver waiting inside, along with the Arbitus Medallion, making this a pretty worthwhile detour if you are looking to fill your pockets.

You can also find Lumps of Silver in piles of stones, particularly inside caves, so it is worth keeping an eye out for them and exploring them. The cathedral is also a good place. Enter during the day, and talk to the boy working there. You can get him to open a room behind him, and there is quite a lot of silver down there (on top of a mysterious key).

Other sources of silver include treasure hunts since those can reward you with silver items that you can later sell to the trader.

We recommend you watch the short video from AC Brotherhood Gaming, since they went over a few locations where you can get a good amount of Silver:

He also mentions it in the video, but if you are planning to make money by selling valuables, it is also worth picking up the Bewitching Influence passive skill. It improves vendor prices, meaning you will get more money when selling your loot, and you can also lower the price of the items the vendors sell.
