Enshrouded 1.0 Adds Necromancy and New Spells

Enshrouded just dropped a brand new look at some of the combat changes that are arriving with the 1.0 release. Today’s focus is primarily on magic, mages, and overall gameplay improvements.
New Mage Spells
Enshrouded 1.0 will be introducing 9 new spells, ranging from utility, crowd control, or just straight-up damage, and now summons!. With these additions, enemy weaknesses are also getting a rework. Here is the roster of brand new stuff that’s arriving in Embervale:
- Mana Drain
- Entangle
- Pillar of Flames
- Blizzard
- Ball Lightning
- Summon Fire Totem
- Summon Ice Totem
- Summon Shock Totem
- Summon Hollow Skeleton
Here are a few of them in action as well:
Along with the addition of necromancy, two new skills will be coming to the talent tree, allowing you to increase the number of skeletons and totems you can have out at one time.
Wand Improvements
In Enshrouded 1.0, wands are now getting a heavy attack. These attacks now pierce enemies and can even interrupt attacks from weaker foes. There will also be a handful of brand-new wand skills!
New Skills for Mages & Archers
So, for a quick recap, here is everything being added for Mages:
- Aerial Wand Attack
- Wand Evasion Attack
- Totem Mastery
- Advanced Necromancy
- Blast and Cast (After a critical strike with a wand, the base damage of your next staff attack within 10 seconds is increased by 50%)
While archers are one of the strongest builds historically, they are getting some attention as well:
- Puncture (Ranged piercing damage is increased by x%)
- Barrage (Dealing damage with Bows has a x% chance to restore 1 durability to that weapon)
- Survival Instinct (Defeating a Shroud-infested enemy with a bow or dagger restores x sec of time in the Shroud)
Also, we are now getting Eternal arrows! Plus, both Eternal spells and arrows can now be upgraded. Archers can expect to find Eternal, Fire, Shock, and Bone arrows.
For the last bit of highlights for 1.0. You can expect to see some brand new player animations, including movement improvements, and brand new enemy variety for Fell and Scavengers, and a new level cap as well.
