Warhammer 40K: Boltgun 2 Is Bigger, Bloodier, and Better

The moment is at hand; the time has finally arrived! It’s been a few days since Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 launched, and it’s been an absolute blast. From the new characters and tons of enemies to the voice lines, music, and, of course, the sudden appearance of Vashtorr the Arkifane, there’s a lot to love about this sequel!
Bigger Bolters, Heavier Rifts
Boltgun 2 has been out for a few days now, and we can say with full certainty that the folks at Auroch Digital, Big Fan Games, and Devolver Digital knocked it straight out of the Warp. The one-man army, Malum Caedo, returns in this direct sequel to Boltgun, joined by the new Sister of Battle, Nyra Veyrath. She’s bringing her own arsenal of weapons, unique voice lines, and plenty of praise for the Emperor!
Both characters pack some serious firepower, bringing back beloved weapons from across the Warhammer universe. All the classics are here, including the Bolter, Heavy Bolter, and Heavy Eviscerator, alongside new additions like the Condemnor Stakethrower, Melta Bomb, and, of course, the Heavy Flamer.
But it’s not just their weapons that set these two apart. Each character handles combat differently, giving you a unique experience depending on who you’re playing. Caedo is the bulky, powerful walking tank we’ve all come to love, while Nyra is more agile and mobile, with her own specialized arsenal that includes the mighty Power Sword.
I Sawed the Daemons

And what would a Warhammer game be without a horde of enemies to purge? Boltgun 2 brings the wrath of all four Chaos Gods, throwing their twisted creations at you from Nurgle, Tzeentch, Khorne, and Slaanesh. Plenty of demons that didn’t appear in the first game are making their debut, too, including the ever-ferocious Bloodletters, the cunning Daemonettes, and the Noise Marines, a personal favorite of mine.
Of course, the carnage doesn’t stop there. Boltgun 2 takes players across a variety of new worlds, locations, and biomes, all backed by an absolutely brutal soundtrack. And if that wasn’t enough to get your blood pumping, Mick Gordon is even providing the boss theme for Vashtorr the Arkifane!
All in all, Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 takes everything that made the first game so great and cranks it up to eleven. More enemies, more weapons, more voice lines, more levels, and more music. What’s not to love? If you enjoyed the first Boltgun, you’re in for an even bigger, bloodier, and more chaotic ride with the sequel. For the Emperor!
