ArcheAge Chronicles Draws 20,000 Players During Steam Next Fest

ArcheAge Chronicles just dropped its massive new demo as part of the October Steam Next Fest, and it didn’t take long for players to jump in. Within hours of its release, 20,507 players had already jumped into the servers, giving us an early look at what could be one of the next big MMORPGs.
What Is ArcheAge Chronicles?

ArcheAge Chronicles is an upcoming open-world MMORPG set in Auroria, 50 years after the events of the original ArcheAge, which first launched back in 2013. Set during the Age of Pioneers, the game brings players back to a world filled with ancient ruins, untold mysteries, and plenty of new adventures.
You’ll investigate a catastrophic airship crash, explore forgotten ruins, and uncover the web of intrigue surrounding this mysterious and tragic event. But that’s only the beginning of what ArcheAge Chronicles has to offer.
Like any good MMORPG, there’s a whole world waiting to be explored, with plenty of activities to keep you busy. From hunting, gathering, and crafting to farming and building your own home, there’s no shortage of ways to spend your time outside of combat. You can also venture into hidden dungeons, embark on trading runs for factions or other players, and defend your trade routes from anyone looking to ruin your day.
Combat is another major part of the experience, with a fluid, open-ended system that changes depending on your weapon of choice. Whether you prefer fighting with swords and daggers, blasting enemies with magic, picking them off with a bow, or standing your ground behind a massive tower shield, there’s plenty of room to find a fighting style that works for you.

If you’ve been waiting for a chance to jump into ArcheAge Chronicles, now’s the time! The new demo is available for free during Steam Next Fest, but you’ll only have October 19 through October 26 to give it a try.
Even better, this demo introduces PvP for the first time, alongside a brand-new dungeon called the Throne of Hinnon. All four playable classes are available, too: Warrior, Ranger, Berserker, and Mage.
With more than 20,000 players already jumping in within hours of launch, ArcheAge Chronicles is off to an interesting start. If you’re an MMORPG fan looking for your next big adventure, this is one demo worth checking out before it disappears!
