RuneScape: Dragonwilds Won’t Raise Its Price at 1.0

Recently, RuneScape: Dragonwilds announced that it was reconsidering its previous decision to increase the game’s price with the 1.0 launch. Now, Jagex has officially confirmed that the price will remain exactly where it is, meaning Dragonwilds will continue to cost £24.99 or $29.99 even after its full release.

More Players, Lower Costs

Jagex just announced that it will no longer increase the price of RuneScape: Dragonwilds when the survival RPG launches its 1.0 update. The developers said they are truly humbled by the support the game has received so far and have decided to keep the current price of £24.99/$29.99.

Honestly, this is a great move for players who have been waiting to pick up a copy before 1.0. Rather than making late buyers pay more, Jagex is keeping the game at its current price, similar to what we have seen from Palworld.

But that’s not the only good news for Dragonwilds fans. Jagex has also confirmed that the game’s first major post-1.0 update is already on the way. Luminance will arrive this winter and, just like the game’s previous updates, will be completely free.

Jagex also plans to share more details about its plans for 2027 following this year’s RuneFest. So, while Dragonwilds is still making its way toward 1.0, it looks like Jagex already has plenty more in store for players once it gets there.
