Project Zomboid Reaches 124,995 Players on Steam

The hype behind Project Zomboid refuses to slow down. More than a week after the last player milestone, fans have surged back into the game and shattered the peak player count once again. Just when we thought the latest record might finally hold, the community proved us wrong!

Another Day, Another Record

Just when we thought things were finally going to calm down following the release of Build 42, the player count surged once again this weekend, smashing the previous record. As of the time of writing, the peak player count for Project Zomboid now sits at an impressive 124,995 players.

As we’ve said before, we’ll say it again: this is a monumental achievement. It speaks volumes about the love and passion the developers have poured into Project Zomboid throughout its many years of development. The community’s excitement and dedication are clearly playing a huge role as well.

At this point, though, there’s really no telling where the ceiling is. With the player count continuing to climb, who knows if we’ll be reporting on yet another Project Zomboid record in the near future?
