Prelude Dark Pain Is Perfect for Turn-Based RPG Fans

What is Prelude Dark Pain?

You assume the role of a local blacksmith, under the name Soren, leading an uprising against the Order of the Ashen Crusade. The order rules with terror and blood over a great extent of its territory while paying to the Lord of Pain. You lead a group of free people willing to stand up against the ever-lurking evil.

The world of Statera is being torn apart by the conflict, which causes tears in the veil between worlds that protect it from supernatural forces. Through these rifts, the creatures of Pain break through to invade what little of a world you have left.

Assemble a roster of heroes and build out your squad to face almost any scenario. Master more than 20 playable heroes, each with two branching talent trees and a pool of 25 skills. Learn how their skills interact for greater strategic synergy and master the battlefield.

Up to 5 heroes can fill your roster from 8 class types: Ranged DPS, Magic Support, Assassins, and more. Equip your characters with greater equipment as you progress and upgrade it all at your base with resources you get from missions.

In addition to the main story, Prelude Dark Pain is also full of sidequests and ways to influence the world outside of the main story. Including ways to manage your base, recruit certain heroes, or even craft new weapons and take on raids.
