Dead by Daylight’s Xenomorph Is Joining 2v8
By EncampedWeevil | Today at 2:41amBehavior just dropped the monthly Dead by Daylight roadmap for September 2026. Within it, there’s a bunch of new collections, events, and updates coming, but what’s most surprising is that the fan favorite 2v8 is returning tomorrow and is sticking around for the rest of the month!
Aliens Join 2v8
For the first time in Dead by Daylight 2v8 history, with the exception of the unique chests from Nemesis and Mastermind adding vaccines in places where chests would’ve already spawned, a killer with a unique map gimmick is being introduced.
In case you are unaware, certain killers bring functional, interactable areas on the map that spawn around generators or in specific areas around the map.
The Xenomorph, in particular, spawns tunnels that let it crawl beneath the map, hunt survivors, and traverse faster than on foot. 2v8 has never allowed a killer with a map gimmick like this to be playable before, and might potentially open the door to more killers being playable in the future.
Along with 2v8 returning, the Xenomorph is joining the playable roster alongside a brand-new Alien Collection. This brand-new Alien collection will build on the existing DLC. From the thumbnail alone, we already know the Xenomorph is getting a new skin, but at the time of writing, we have no idea if we are getting more Ripley skins or other costumes for Survivors.
