CD Projekt RED Is Taking Over Gamescom

The studio has announced that they will host five full days of REDstreams during Gamescom 2026, giving those who cannot make it to Cologne a way to follow along from home. The streams will begin on Wednesday, August 26, and run every day through August 30, with broadcasts scheduled from 10 AM to 7 PM CEST each day. They will be available to watch through CD Projekt RED’s official Twitch and YouTube channels.
And the studio is not just planning to sit in front of a camera for five days. CDPR says the REDstreams will include game previews, special guests, interviews, behind-the-scenes stories, and more. The detailed schedule for each day will not be revealed until the first day of the event, so we do not yet know exactly what it is all about, but either way, very exciting news!

The Witcher Is Already Confirmed for Opening Night Live
Of course, there is already one pretty big CD Projekt RED appearance we know about. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Songs of the Past will be shown during Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 25, the day before the REDstreams begin. That means CDPR is getting a head start before its own five-day stream marathon even begins. With Songs of the Past getting a trailer at Opening Night Live and the REDstreams running throughout the main Gamescom event, there is clearly going to be a lot of Witcher-related attention around the studio this week.
Exactly how much of that will be focused on the upcoming expansion, The Witcher 4, or CD Projekt RED’s other projects remains to be seen. And that is probably intentional.
The timing is also pretty fitting, as REDstreams are celebrating their fifth anniversary this year. So instead of doing one big presentation and calling it a day, CDPR is essentially turning its Gamescom presence into a week-long broadcast. We will get previews, interviews, developer stories, and whatever other surprises the studio has planned!
So if you are a Witcher or Cyberpunk fan, it is probably worth keeping an eye on CD Projekt RED’s channels throughout the week.
Because apparently, one day of Gamescom was not enough for them!
