Dead by Daylight Chorus of Sin Gets Last-Minute Changes
By EncampedWeevil | Today at 12:01amA few days ago, Behaviour Interactive hosted an event on the Official Dead by Daylight Discord, and the devs shared a few new pieces of information with players. In addition to the upcoming MMR Rework, we are also getting some last-minute changes to the Chorus of Sin Chapter and some pretty exciting balance changes.
Judgment Power Changes
The upcoming killer for the Chorus of Sin Chapter, The Judgment, is getting a lot of changes to how their power works. If you’ve been playing the PTB for the past few weeks, you may be familiar with the old version. But as for the changes:
- Survivors can see beams through walls the moment they activate. Gives Survivors more reaction time and makes it harder to catch people off guard.
- Sniping or Missing Survivors with The Judgment’s Power gives you Killer Instinct on a Survivor for 0.5 seconds.
- The Judgment’s hand now has a visual when the power can actually do damage to Survivors while traveling. Looks like an electric burst.
- You can change Mouse Sensitivity, Controller Sensitivity, and disable the Killer Instinct Near-Miss feedback on the options menu, meaning we could have more Killer-Specific menu options in the future.
- The ability to curve the beam while Zealous is a consistent 0.3s curve window, as opposed to being inconsistent based on how early or late you curve the beam.
- Beams are more punishing in Exile. Getting hit removes 3 seconds from your hook state, and you can be hit by multiple beams in close succession.
- Beams in Exile spawn farther from each other.
Balance Changes
As for balance changes, some are actually pretty exciting. Lots of Dead by Daylight players have been asking for two Perks to get nerfs: Nowhere to Hide & Vigil.
- Elusive off-hook is still going live, but the devs said they may roll it back if it proves unhealthy for the game.
- Nowhere to Hide is back to 24m for 5s, but it’s only around the Generator instead of around the Killer. Definitely a good change imo.
- Repressed Alliance: You only need to repair a gen for 30 seconds to open the ability to use Repressed Alliance to block a gen for 15 seconds now.
- Vigil is now an Exhaustion-only perk. You and Survivors within 16 M of you lose Exhausted 20/25/30% faster, and it is removed if anyone leaves your range for over 15s.
