The Sinking City 2 Is a Dark 1920s Horror Adventure
By EncampedWeevil | Today at 1:50amThe Roaring ’20s is always an interesting time period. Noir aesthetics, jazz music, mystery, and, of course, Lovecraftian horrors make for a pretty great setting. If any of those themes strike a chord with you, you might want to check out The Sinking City 2.
What is The Sinking City 2?
The Sinking City 2 is a single-player survival horror game set in 1920s Arkham. You play as a detective who arrives in a port city buckling under the weight of a supernatural flood. Businesses have gone quiet, residents have disappeared, and entire districts have either sunk beneath the water or become overrun by Lovecraftian monsters.
You’ve come to Arkham to fight back against these supernatural forces after a ritual gone wrong traps the woman you love. Malevolent forces have stolen her body, leaving her soul trapped within the Dreamlands.
Now, horrors walk the streets and lurk beneath the water. The Slither animate the dead, while Deep Ones rise from the dark depths. Exploring the city will be key to your survival, but every new area could also hide something far more dangerous.
Not everything you encounter will directly tie into the main story, either. Along the way, you’ll stumble across smaller encounters and stories that can open up new routes, resources, and opportunities to help you survive what lies ahead.
Will you answer the city’s watery call, or will you let the depths claim her?
