Dead by Daylight MMR Rework Arrives August 25

By EncampedWeevil | Today at 11:14pm

Recently, Behaviour Interactive hosted an event on the Official Dead by Daylight Discord, giving fans a chance to hear and chat directly with the developers. There’s plenty to talk about, including changes to the upcoming Chorus of Sin chapter, but we also learned there will be changes not only to the MMR, but to the anti-cheat as well.

Anticheat Changes

If you have been playing DBD for a short time, or especially a long time, everyone eventually runs into a cheater, who is usually a Survivor. Thankfully, there are finally going to be some adjustments to the Dead by Daylight Anticheat, but the sad part is that we don’t know a ton about it.

Simply put, the devs are telling players who report cheaters to include captured footage when possible and/or describe what strange activity the cheater was doing. Although that’s what the player base has already been doing. Aside from that, the devs are telling us there will be new experimental Anti-cheat features you can opt into on Steam, like a setting. As for when this will roll out, we currently have no idea, but they will tell us later.

MMR Rework

However, we do know one thing: the upcoming MMR Rework. Plus, best of all, this is actually going to release on the 25th of this month! First, in the next few days, all MMR will be reset. In addition:

  • MMR will reward you more if you’re a good player rather than if you survive or win.
  • MMR is based on Emblems (Gens, Unhooking, Chase, Living) (Regression, Injuring/Downing, Winning Chase, Sacrificing)
  • MMR is shared between any Survivor you play.
  • Individual Killers have Individual MMR
  • MMR is not taking priority over wait times.

In addition to the MMR Rework, there will also be around a round of Twitch drops going live on the same day, August 25th.
