The Blood of Dawnwalker: How Long Does It Take to Beat?

September cannot come fast enough for the release of The Blood of Dawnwalker. But, in the meantime, if you are wondering how long it will take to finish this amazing game, we finally have a pretty good idea. According to developer Rebel Wolves, the upcoming action RPG currently takes around 50 hours to complete on average. Obviously, that number can change quite a bit depending on how you play.

And if you are the type of player who wants to see and do pretty much everything, you could be looking at 80 to 100+ hours.

Not What They Had Planned

Interestingly enough, that was not always the plan for the game. The developers originally wanted the game to be much shorter.

“It’s funny, because when we started working, we planned it for 40 hours.”

The game has since grown considerably during development, with the current average sitting at around 50 hours.

“Right now, the average is around 50 hours, but that depends on what difficulty level you’re playing, how picky you are, how much you explore, how much you upgrade your gear, and so on.”

So, realistically, 50 hours is probably a good base for a normal playthrough, and players who take their time exploring the world, upgrading their equipment, and completing more of the game’s content should expect considerably more. And that is without even taking into account the game’s multiple choices and endings. The Blood of Dawnwalker is built around player choice, with quests and story that can play out differently depending on how you spend your limited time. Rebel Wolves has previously explained that players will not be able to experience every story and quest in a single playthrough, meaning there is plenty of reason to come back for another run. This is particularly the case if you want to complete all the achievements.

So basically, for completionists it is a different story entirely. If you want to explore as much as possible, upgrade your gear, and squeeze everything you can out of Vale Sangora, The Blood of Dawnwalker could end up being over 100 hours. Plenty of content for you to explore and discover!
