Stonewards Brings Co-Op Dwarf Defense to Steam
By EncampedWeevil | 2 Days AgoWhat are all good dwarfs known for? Mining for ores and gems. Building. Fighting. Holding grudges. Now you and your friends can embrace your inner dwarven lifestyle with Stonewards, a new 1-4 player co-op first-person roguelite defense game.
What is Stonewards?
Stonewards is a solo and 1-4 player co-op first-person roguelite defense game where a band of battle-ready dwarves leaves their base camp to answer distress calls from nearby dwarven kingdoms. Every mission sends you to a stronghold under threat. Your job is simple: dig, forge, and defend.
After every wave of enemies, rush into procedurally generated mines to gather precious metals, rare materials, and whatever else looks important. Explore tunnels, uncover hidden caves, and haul everything back before the next wave closes in.
You can also forge between waves as well, by spending whatever you dug up from the mines to craft arrows, repair defenses, and unlock random upgrades. Obtain new strength, powers, magic, better defenses, and more.
But what does combat look like? Simple. Monsters want to breach the walls every wave to get into the stronghold and bring the kingdom down with it. Hold the walls, coordinate with your squad, and use every tool at your disposal.
If the enemy pushes through your defenses, fall back, regroup, and fight on, and if the kingdom falls, your run is over. If this sounds like your type of game, Stonewards is launching on Steam in two days, on August 11th, 2026.
