Dead by Daylight AMA Reveals Skull Merchant Rework and More
By EncampedWeevil | 2 Days AgoRecently, Behaviour Interactive hosted an Ask Me Anything (AMA) event on Reddit, inviting all fans to ask any and all questions about what’s coming to Dead by Daylight. After the dust had settled, we finally got some highlights worth talking about.
DbD AMA Highlights
There are countless questions asked throughout the Reddit thread about the future of Dead by Daylight, collaborations, balance changes, skins, and other events. After combing through, there are a lot of notable things that you may have missed.
Next, something long overdue. The Pig might finally get some original chase music. Killer chase music is what helps define a killer, and while this is a good step in the right direction, we still need to have some older Killers get new music.
Another major highlight is that the developers are working on a “chat wheel” for Survivors to better communicate throughout the game. Ultimately, this will largely impact newer players since it takes a while to learn the unique body language of a Survivor.
We also got some additional feedback about potential new modes or events coming in the future:
Honorable Mentions
Overall, there’s a lot of new insights and teasers the developers have talked about, and we highly recommend reading through the thread yourself. But just in case, here are a few more highlights:
- Houndmaster Rift Skin: Houndmaster could eventually receive a featured Rift outfit.
- Killer Bots: BHVR is exploring the possibility of adding Killer bots to Custom Games.
- New Killer Add-Ons: Some Killers could receive new add-ons as the team continues reworking the system.
- More 2v8 Killers: More Killers are planned for 2v8, though some won’t be added if doing so would fundamentally change their gameplay.
- More Cosmetics: BHVR is looking at expanding cosmetic options as the game continues to grow.
- Fewer Add-Ons & Offerings: The team is also discussing ways to reduce the number of add-ons and offerings, though exactly what that means remains unclear.
