Ananta Could Get New Content Until 2034 and Beyond

By Jaymo | 3 Days Ago

Gamescom 2026 was most likely the biggest and craziest event so far this year, with all the games that got release dates, first reveals, new trailers, and more! And one game in particular finally made an appearance! Ananta was in the dark for so long that some people even forgot the game existed in the first place, but Gamescom brought it back to life with a new trailer and a release date planned for January 15, 2027. Since then, we keep getting more information from various previews, interviews, and more. It even looks like Naked Rain is not thinking small when it comes to Ananta.

They might have taken their sweet time when it came to producing and revealing the game, but it seems a part of what they planned goes way beyond launch. According to Insider Gaming, Naked Rain is currently planning to support Ananta for at least seven years after its release, with regular updates bringing new quests, characters, maps, and more to the game.

New Content up to 2034 and Beyond!

If everything goes according to plan, that means Ananta could still be receiving new content in 2034 and potentially even beyond that. 7 years is a very long time for a game, and the fact that the developers already thought so far partially explains why they took so long to reveal what the game is even about. And considering the size of the game already, that is kind of wild.

The developers have also revealed that Ananta is expected to have more than 100 hours of content at launch. That includes the main story, exploring its open world, and taking part in the various side activities spread throughout the game. So we are potentially looking at 100+ hours of content on day one, followed by years of new content being added afterwards. Of course, there is an important detail to keep in mind. Seven years is the current plan, not a guarantee. Live-service games can change direction depending on development, player numbers, and how the game performs after launch. So I would not take this as a promise that Ananta will definitely be getting updates all the way through 2034.

Still, it does show just how seriously Naked Rain and NetEase are approaching the game’s long-term future.

The team is planning to regularly expand Ananta with new quests, characters, maps, and other content, but this is not that unusual compared to other gacha games. Considering Ananta is launching as a free-to-play open-world RPG, this kind of long-term support is pretty much what you would expect from it. The interesting part is just how far ahead the developers are already thinking.

We are still a few months away from really getting our hands on it, so you still have to wait a little bit for more information. For now, you can at least expect 100+ hours of content at launch, and at least seven years of planned updates, if everything goes well for the game. Ananta could be around for a very long time!
