The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu Patch 1.04 Is Here

The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu just received its first major content patch since launch. Update 1.04 adds plenty of new content and improvements, including three horrific new enemies, a new Occult Item, melee combat changes, and more.

Patch 1.04 introduces three brand-new enemies to the depths of the forest. One of them was featured in the latest teaser trailer and appears to be a massive, wilted vulture. Alongside the new enemies, the developers have also hidden new jewel boxes throughout the forest, which you can locate using your map.

Digging up these jewel boxes gives you a chance to obtain the new Occult Item, The Rosary.

The patch also brings a major improvement to the command wheel. By popular demand, players can now stop the cart and give the driver specific instructions. However, you’ll need to stay close enough for the driver to hear you, so proximity still matters.

Melee combat has also received a handful of improvements, making close-quarters encounters feel better overall. On top of that, lobby codes are now automatically generated, making it easier to get into a game with friends.

Finally, Patch 1.04 for The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu includes a collection of crash and bug fixes, including fixes for issues that could leave players stuck inside the Galleon’s shops.
