<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Surprisingly, completely out of the blue, a 2011 <em>The Lord of the Rings</em> game has received a re-release today. That&#8217;s right, <em>The Lord of the Rings: War in the North™ &#8211; Legacy Edition</em> is back on storefronts across all platforms!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A Cold Wind Blows from the North</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Aspyr Media, the studio that has been bringing plenty of classic titles back to life over the past few years, is back with another surprise release. <em>The Lord of the Rings: War in the North &#8211; Legacy Edition</em> has suddenly returned to storefronts across PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, and Nintendo Switch 1 &amp; 2.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This cult-classic RPG lets you take control of one of three heroes as you uncover the untold story of Agandaûr, a Black Númenórean servant of Sauron who is amassing a massive army in the ruins of Fornost. While Frodo and Samwise make their journey toward Mount Doom, a new Fellowship must rise to<a href="https://all.gg/news/stonewards-brings-co-op-dwarf-defense-to-steam/" data-type="link" data-id="https://all.gg/news/stonewards-brings-co-op-dwarf-defense-to-steam/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> defend the North from the forces gathering in the shadows.</a></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Choose your hero and play your part in the battle. <strong>Eradan</strong> is a Dúnedain Ranger who specializes in stealth and precision with bows and swords. <strong>Andriel</strong>, an Elven Loremaster, uses powerful healing and area-of-effect spells to support her allies. Finally, <strong>Farin</strong>, a Dwarven Champion, serves as the group&#8217;s frontline tank, capable of unleashing devastating melee attacks.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If you are like us, and the only thing you are waiting for is the launch of The Blood of Dawnwalker, you will be happy to know that all the achievements will be available at launch on Steam. This is pretty good news for everyone who likes hunting down every achievement in a game, and The Blood of Dawnwalker has already got plenty waiting for you. The developers have revealed that the upcoming RPG will launch with 46 Steam achievements on day one, so we will have a ton of challenges to complete as we explore Vale Sangora.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The full list includes 25 visible achievements and 21 hidden achievements, with the latter keeping their requirements secret until players unlock them. This is to avoid important spoilers, obviously.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">You Will Need More Than One Playthrough</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The developers also point out that one playthrough will not be enough to unlock every achievement. So if you are the type of player that wants to complete all the achievements in one go, you will sadly be disappointed by this one. It is not particularly surprising considering The Blood of Dawnwalker is built around choices and consequences, meaning you can experience different outcomes depending on the decisions you make throughout your journey. SO some achievements probably involve making different choices, hence why you need more than one playthrough.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The 21 hidden achievements will also remain secret until they are earned, so you will have some additional surprises waiting for you.</p>

The Blood of Dawnwalker Reveals All 46 Achievements Available at Launch


<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Persona 4 Revival launches on February 18, 2027, and is a pretty ambitious remake!</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In a <a href="https://www.gamerbraves.com/producer-wada-kazuhisa-talks-persona-4-revival-rebuilding-inaba-reworking-combat-and-keeping-the-heart-of-the-original-intact/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">new interview with GamerBraves</a>, producer Wada Kazuhisa discussed how Atlus is rebuilding Persona 4 for modern platforms, from completely reworking Inaba in 3D to introducing new combat mechanics, and, at the same time, also explaining how the team is trying to keep what made the original game so special. There is a lot of information shared during this interview, so if you want to know about everything, we recommend you check it out. But here is everything we learned from it in the big lines.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Inaba Is Being Rebuilt in Full 3D</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">One of the biggest changes in Persona 4 Revival is the way players will explore Inaba. The original game used fixed 2D backgrounds, but the remake replaces those with fully explorable 3D environments and a rotatable camera. Atlus used the original backgrounds as a starting point, then expanded areas that were previously hidden or simply implied by the game&#8217;s camera angles.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">&#8220;Based on the image of the game screen at that time, we expanded the image of the actual location that we had originally imagined. We replaced the invisible part of the image and made it feel more realistic&#8221;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The team also looked at the real-world locations that inspired Inaba, using them as references to make the town feel more believable. Of course, rebuilding an entire town in 3D also comes with some pretty significant development challenges. Wada explained that the team had to carefully decide how much detail to put into larger environments, and, at the same time, keep the project within its development time and budget.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The remake is also giving many of Persona 4&#8217;s story scenes a huge visual upgrade. A lot of the original 2D anime sequences have been recreated as fully in-game 3D cinematics. Some visual-novel-style conversations have also been turned into more traditional cutscenes. Wada said the experience Atlus gained when they were developing Persona 3 Reload helped the team improve its tools and workflow for creating these 3D scenes.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The goal is not to change the story, but to make its biggest moments feel more immersive. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Despite all the visual changes, Atlus does not want Persona 4 Revival to lose the personality of the original game. Wada specifically reassured everyone that the characters&#8217; personalities have not been removed or toned down. The original story and characters remain intact, although some dialogue has been rewritten where the team felt certain lines were awkward, overly complicated, or simply dated. The iconic retro TV and pop-art-inspired user interface is also staying, even if it has been modernized to make it easier to use.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">MAPPA Is Returning</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Fans of the anime sequences will also have something to look forward to, as MAPPA is returning for Persona 4 Revival. The studio previously worked on the opening animation for Persona 5 Royal, and it is now producing animated sequences for the remake. Interestingly, Wada also teased that additional MAPPA animations have not been revealed yet, so this means that there could be more to see beyond what has already been shown.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Persona 4 Golden Content Is Included</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For anyone wondering how much of Persona 4 Golden is being added to the remake, Wada confirmed that Revival will include almost all of Golden&#8217;s additional content. This includes:</p>

<li>All the extra stories</li>



<li>All side content</li>



<li>True ending.</li>
</ul>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The most important exception is the Program Ticket feature. And Atlus is also adding new types of social interactions that were not present in either of the original versions of the game.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Dungeon Rework and New Combat Mechanics</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The dungeons are also being redesigned with the goal of making exploration less stressful and more enjoyable. Atlus is taking advantage of the remake&#8217;s improved visuals to make the areas much more immersive, with their atmosphere becoming stranger and more unsettling as you progress inside of them. Wada specifically highlighted the first confrontation between the characters and the Shadows as an example of how much the presentation has changed. The sequence has been significantly reworked to make it more cinematic, and he believes the new version will have a much stronger impact than the original.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Combat is receiving some changes as well. Persona 4 Revival introduces new mechanics called Prime Time and Send Flying, and it also brings back systems such as Baton Pass and individual character follow-up attacks. Prime Time and Send Flying do not consume SP and can be used freely when their conditions are met. Atlus designed them to be easy to use.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">At the same time, some of the original mechanics are being removed.</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>The tag-team combos from Persona 4 Golden are not returning </li>



<li>The bike-related battle mechanic is also being removed to make room for the new systems</li>
</ul>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Wada Would Like to See Persona 1 and 2 Remakes</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Perhaps the most interesting little tease from the interview came when Wada was asked about Atlus eventually remaking the first two Persona games. He could not confirm that anything is currently in development, so this definitely is not an announcement of Persona 1 or Persona 2 remakes. However, Wada did give a surprisingly positive personal answer, since he said that he believes remaking them is something Atlus should do. That is obviously not enough to confirm that those projects are even being considered, but if Wada thinks it is a good idea, maybe he can convince them to do it! However,  Atlus&#8217; resources might be focused on future projects such as Persona 6 instead, so take it with a grain of salt.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Wada has worked on the Persona series across multiple roles, from designer to director and eventually head producer, making Persona 4 particularly important to him personally. His biggest hope for Persona 4 Revival is that players will finish the game and want to return to Inaba, or simply wish they could spend more time there. He also credited Persona 3 Reload with providing important groundwork for the remake, particularly when it came to localization, multi-platform development, and more.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">And if Wada&#8217;s comments are anything to go by, the team is not finished showing us everything it has planned just yet.</p>

Persona 4 Revival Producer Reveals What Is Changing, MAPPA’s Return and More


<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Summer vacation is almost over, and everyone is currently going over what is left to come for the rest of the year and the first quarter of 2027. Square Enix is not different, so here is an updated look at their upcoming lineup, so you can get a better idea of what is coming over the next year. They currently have a few main releases scheduled between September 2026 and early 2027, including new Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, and Kingdom Hearts games.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Both have been announced or at least teased, and we know they are planned and being worked on, but they are still listed as TBA, with no release date in sight. Hope is for some sort of new announcement during Gamescom for these two, but nothing has been confirmed or anything like that so far, so it might just be us hoping for it.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">But even if two games have no dates yet, Square Enix has a pretty good roadmap for the end of the year and start of 2027, especially with the new FFXIV Evercold expansion, the Kingdom Hearts collection, and the last part of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake! If you are a Square Enix fan, you will have plenty to do until they properly announce Kingdom Hearts 4 and Dragon Quest XII.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Telltale is teaming up with Steam and other narrative game developers for a special event! </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If you are a fan of games where your decisions and choices really matter, there is a pretty good reason to check Steam right now. Telltale is hosting the &#8220;<a href="https://store.steampowered.com/sale/Choices-Matter-Festival?tab=1" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Choices Matter Festival</a>,&#8221; a new Steam sale focused on narrative or &#8220;choice-based&#8221; games. You can find a huge selection of titles that got some pretty heavy discounts. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Festival is running until August 17, so you have a few days to pick up some of these games for very little money.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Obviously, there are far too many games included to list everything here since you can find a little bit over 100 games with reduced prices, but there are some particularly good deals worth checking out! So we put together the games with the best deals that are worth picking up.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Quantic Dream Goes Under €1</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The best deal might be coming from Quantic Dream, with both Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls currently available for just €0.99 each. Considering you are getting two complete narrative-focused games for less than the price of a coffee, it is hard to complain about those prices. Both are amazing games, and it is hard to argue against buying them when they cost so little!</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">These two games are particularly interesting if you like investigation, mysteries, and a lot of action despite it being a narrative game. Both are psychological thrillers where, on one side, you follow a girl on a journey to find where she comes from and why she has powers, and on the other side, you follow four characters on the hunt for a murderer known only as the Origami Killer. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">And when it comes to Quantic Dream and narrative games, there is one game that is definitely worth picking up, especially when it only costs €7.99, and it is Detroit: Become Human! There is also an entire bundle available that includes:</p>

The charms and badges are nice, but donating 15k for only 300 Iridescent Shards is a little on the low end.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If you play GTA mainly for the online and RP side of things, you might be disappointed by that one. It looks like GTA 6 could remain a single-player experience for quite some time after launch, as Rockstar does not appear to be in a hurry to talk about its next GTA Online. In a recent video, Jason Schreier said he does not expect to be talking about GTA 6 Online anytime soon, because Rockstar reportedly is not planning to discuss the multiplayer part in the near future.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">No Online for Launch</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">We already knew that there would be no GTA 6 online for launch, so this is not completely unexpected. And also, GTA 5 Online has been a huge success for Rockstar and has continued receiving updates for years after the launch of GTA 5, so there is not necessarily much pressure for the company to immediately replace it with a new online mode. In fact, according to Schreier, the recent numbers show that GTA 5 Online could continue receiving support for quite a while, even if Rockstar has not provided a specific timeframe for when that support will end.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The idea of GTA 6 launching without its own Online mode would also give Rockstar more time to work on what could eventually become another huge long-term multiplayer experience. GTA Online was not available alongside GTA 5 at launch either, so it is also not something entirely new on this side. That said, Schreier&#8217;s comments do not necessarily mean that GTA 6 Online has been officially delayed. Rockstar has not announced a release date for the multiplayer mode in the first place, and they did not even properly reveal what their plans are for GTA 6 Online.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For now, you should simply expect GTA 6 to be a single-player game at launch, with Rockstar potentially taking its time before revealing what comes next. And honestly, considering how successful GTA Online has been, Rockstar probably has little reason to rush it. They can let us spend months exploring Vice City before eventually showing us what they have planned for GTA 6 Online.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Half of 2026 is already over, but developers definitely still have plenty of things planned. And if we are talking about games to come, SEGA has shared an updated look at their upcoming games and release plans! It is a good time to go over the new dates and also remind us just how many of the publisher&#8217;s announced projects are still waiting for one. For the end of 2026 and start of 2027, SEGA currently has multiple main games planned already. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">That is a pretty solid lineup for the next few months, but SEGA&#8217;s list of upcoming projects gets particularly interesting when you are looking beyond those confirmed dates. A lot of games are planned that do not even have dates yet!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A Lot of SEGA Games Still Do Not Have a Release Date</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">2027 will definitely include a lot more games coming from SEGA! Crazy Taxi: World Tour and Virtua Fighter: Crossroads, for example, are already planned for 2027, but they just do not have a specific date yet. But at least if you are waiting for any of those two, you know they are coming next year for sure. Unless things get delayed, of course.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">But then, there is the much longer list of games simply marked as &#8220;TBD&#8221;, so no date at all, not even a year in sight:</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">And that is where things get a little&#8230; funny. Some of these games were announced ages ago, meaning we have been hearing about them for a surprisingly long time without knowing when we will really be able to play them. A lot of SEGA&#8217;s projects were revealed very early in their development, and the current schedule shows that quite a few are still nowhere near having a public release date. Of course, there is nothing inherently wrong with announcing a game early. Developers can change direction, projects can take longer than expected, and some games simply need years of development before they are ready to be shown.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">But players are wondering if publishers should really announce games quite so early in development in the first place.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For them, there is a pretty obvious downside. Once a game has been announced, it is easy to start thinking about it as something that is coming soon. Then years go by with little or no information, and eventually it can feel like you are waiting forever for something that technically does not even have a release date yet. SEGA&#8217;s current lineup is a pretty good example of that. At least we now have some concrete dates to look forward to with Stranger Than Heaven and Persona 4 Revival! </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As for the rest, it seems we will just have to keep waiting for SEGA to decide when they are finally ready to show us the rest.</p>

SEGA has revealed its upcoming release schedule, including Stranger Than Heaven and Persona 4 Revival, but many games remain without dates.


SEGA Lists Upcoming Games, but Many Still Do Not Have Release Dates


<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Overwatch Season 4 is almost here, since it literally launches tomorrow, on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. Blizzard has not officially announced the exact launch time on its social media channels yet, but if we look at the current Season 3 Battle Pass countdown, we can pretty much estimate around what time the new season will launch. It also matches the launch time used for previous seasons, so you should expect Season 4 to go live at around 8 PM CEST on August 11.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">And since this is a new update, we also have a short recap of everything coming with Season 4!</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Overwatch Season 4 Start Time</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Season 4 is starting on August 11 at the following times:</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Again, these times have not been officially confirmed by Blizzard yet, but it just comes from the Battle Pass countdown and previous season launch times. So just keep in mind that the time could still change, or simply run late if there is any issue with the update. Make sure to keep your Bnet launcher open that day so the game can update as soon as it releases. And of course, as always, there might be a lot of queue when the season launches, so just be ready for that as well. You might not get in directly.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">New Tank Hero: D.Mon</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Obviously, the biggest addition coming with Season 4 is D.Mon, a new Tank hero who also pilots a Mech like D.Va. We already made <a href="https://all.gg/news/overwatchs-new-tank-d-mon-is-a-mix-of-reinhardt-and-d-va/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">an article where we detailed her kit, abilities, and specificities</a>, but here is a small recap of what D.Mon is all about! Unlike D.Va, D.Mon will use a melee weapon and a shield like Reinhardt, on top of having access to a machine gun, giving her both ranged and close-range options.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">New Mythic Cosmetics</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As always, Season 4 will also introduce new Battle Pass content, including a Mythic Skin and a Mythic Weapon. The heroes receiving these new Mythic cosmetics have been revealed tonight during the release of the official launch trailer. You will be able to obtain a <strong>new skin for Genji and a weapon for Sojourn</strong>!</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">When it comes to the Battle Pass, it gets a pretty cool revamp! You do not have to pick every reward in a specific order anymore. From season 4 onwards, you can choose the skins in the order that you want. So every time you hit a milestone that contains a skin, it opens an additional window where you can pick the one you want first!</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Did Blizzard make the right move? It seems like they did indeed!</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">From what we can see, going back to Overwatch instead of <a href="https://all.gg/news/overwatch-is-back-as-blizzard-kicks-the-2-and-adds-five-new-heroes/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Overwatch 2</a> may have been a pretty good move for them. According to a report from Windows Central, Overwatch recently delivered its strongest quarter since 2022, with Blizzard seeing huge growth for the game as it prepares to enter <a href="https://all.gg/news/overwatch-2-reveals-d-mon-the-new-tank-hero/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Season 4</a>.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Reign of Talon Changed Everything</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The report did not just point out that they had their strongest quarter since 2022, but also noted that Blizzard has now achieved its first back-to-back years of growth since Overwatch originally launched in 2016, and even better, that Overwatch apparently came out on top among Xbox&#8217;s studios division.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This comes pretty much after Blizzard decided to drop the &#8220;2&#8221; from the game&#8217;s name and return to simply calling it Overwatch. The change was part of a big change for the game, and it appears to have resulted in a significant increase in its performance.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As a reminder, in February 2026, the game returned to its original name, Overwatch, and kicked off a new first Season of a year-long story arc called The Reign of Talon. The story follows Talon&#8217;s rise under the new character Vendetta that released not long ago, with comics, cinematics, and in-game events integrated into the gameplay. 5 new heroes were directly added when that first season launched, and 5 more were teased at that time. Right now, we have already obtained a few of these other 5 heroes, with <a href="https://all.gg/news/overwatchs-new-tank-d-mon-is-a-mix-of-reinhardt-and-d-va/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">D.Mon arriving with Season 4</a>! <h2 class="wp-block-heading">A New Beginning</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Of course, the numbers alone do not prove that removing the &#8220;2&#8221; is directly responsible for the game&#8217;s growth. Overwatch has received plenty of updates and changes alongside the rebranding, so there are likely a few factors contributing to its very good performance this year. The goal with the change was to constantly deliver &#8220;expansion-like&#8221; updates annually, and so far, it seems they are indeed delivering!</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Still, seeing the game post its best quarter since 2022 is certainly impressive, especially after many years where Overwatch struggled to maintain players with the sequel. Season 4 is also coming up soon, so it looks like Blizzard has managed to get Overwatch back into a better position. It will be interesting to see if the game will continue to grow like this over the next few years.</p>

Beyond the early optimization patches, one of the biggest requests from players was simple: give them more ways to defend themselves against the horrors lurking across the island. Thankfully, the latest patch finally answers those requests.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It’s been a few weeks since The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu launched, and the game has already experienced plenty of ups and downs. <p class="wp-block-paragraph">Before the latest patch, engaging in close range with a monster almost guarantees you won&#8217;t walk away unscathed. Players could either run and hope their stamina lasted or pull out their guns and risk alerting every creature in the jungle. The game offered little room for other options. Your character can’t outrun monsters forever, and the lack of a dodge mechanic made close encounters especially difficult.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Of course, The Mound is a survival horror game, so players shouldn’t expect to cut through monsters with ease. The game wants you to feel vulnerable, and stealth should remain a perfectly valid strategy. However, the latest patch finally gives players another option by adding a brand-new blocking mechanic.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The developers are also keeping a close eye on the mechanic and how it affects the overall flow of combat and player survival. Depending on how players adapt to the new system, further adjustments could follow in future updates.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The hype behind Project Zomboid refuses to slow down. <a href="https://all.gg/news/project-zomboid-breaks-steam-player-record-twice-again/" data-type="link" data-id="https://all.gg/news/project-zomboid-breaks-steam-player-record-twice-again/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">More than a week after the last player milestone</a>, fans have surged back into the game and shattered the peak player count once again. Just when we thought the latest record might finally hold, the community proved us wrong!</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Just when we thought things were finally going to calm down following the release of Build 42, the player count surged once again this weekend, smashing the previous record. As of the time of writing, the peak player count for Project Zomboid now sits at an impressive <strong>124,995 players</strong>.</p>

It speaks volumes about the love and passion the developers have poured into Project Zomboid throughout its many years of development. <p class="wp-block-paragraph">Knowing that AION 2 is an MMO, a lot of players felt like something was not right with these Founder&#8217;s Packs. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">After reviewing all the feedback, the developers have announced that <strong>30 days of AION 2 membership will be included in every pack</strong>. The change applies both to players who have already purchased a Founder&#8217;s Pack and those who decide to purchase one in the future. As mentioned, this addition comes after the lack of subscription access became one of the biggest complaints surrounding the Founder&#8217;s Packs. The different tiers all provide a five-day head start, but none of them originally included access to the game&#8217;s separate membership subscription.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This was particularly annoying for players because many other MMOs include a period of subscription access with their Founder or Early Access packages. So it felt just normal to have one here too. At least now, all Founders get 30 days of membership for free, meaning existing owners will also receive the additional benefit without having to purchase anything else. It is a relatively small change, but it does show that the AION 2 team is already paying attention to player feedback ahead of launch. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">With the five-day head start beginning on September 30, you can now also enjoy your free 30 days of membership automatically, and anyone purchasing a pack later will receive the same benefit.</p>

Ultimately, this will largely impact newer players since it takes a while to learn the unique body language of a Survivor.</p>

Since the Resident Evil: <a href="https://all.gg/news/resident-evil-veronica-remake-leak-suggests-semi-open-world/" data-type="link" data-id="https://all.gg/news/resident-evil-veronica-remake-leak-suggests-semi-open-world/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Veronica Remake </a>was first announced, the upcoming survival horror title has already gathered over 2 million wishlists, and that&#8217;s before the game even has a release date.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Now, with Resident Evil: Veronica being the latest classic to get the remake treatment, we&#8217;re starting to see just how big the hype around these games has become. Reaching over 2 million wishlists for a Resident Evil game that doesn&#8217;t even have a set release date yet is an impressive milestone, and it shows just how much excitement there is for Capcom to revisit another fan-favorite entry.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Today might be a lucky day for Octopath Traveler fans. It looks like Octopath Traveler 3 is not exactly off Team Asano&#8217;s radar.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Recently, <a href="https://dengekionline.com/article/202608/81765" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Dengeki Online</a> sat down with some of the franchise&#8217;s main developers to talk about the history and future of the series. During the interview, Team Asano head and producer Tomoya Asano addressed the expectations surrounding a potential third main game, and his answers are pretty surprising! Asano said that the team is very much aware that fans are hoping to see Octopath Traveler III happen. The developers genuinely feel those expectations from the community, and they did not want to look like they were unaware of the demand.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Is Octopath Traveler 3 on Its Way?</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In reality, not really. Or at least, not in the near future. Asano also shared that the team does not want to rush into making a third game just for the sake of it. If Octopath Traveler 3 does happen, they all want to make sure they can really take the series further. It has to be a meaningful third game that ends up as good, if not better, than the previous ones.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">So, even if this is not exactly a confirmation that Octopath Traveler 3 is in development, it is certainly a more encouraging statement than a simple &#8220;no comment.&#8221; Asano is clearly aware of how much players want another game, and it sounds like the team has some pretty high ambitions for what a third game could be. Overall, this is pretty good news!</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For now, Square Enix has not officially announced Octopath Traveler III. You will have to keep waiting a little longer to see if Team Asano eventually gets the chance to push the series to its limits or not!</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Not long now before Summer is over, but this also means that Gamescom 2026 is almost here! For those who might be unaware, Gamescom is one of the biggest gaming conventions in the world. It is held in August every year in Cologne, Germany, and there are over 1000 exhibitors, including some of the largest gaming companies worldwide. Gamescom also always starts with an Opening Night Live show (OLN) held by Geoff Keighley. This is where you can expect a ton of surprises and where they will show all the latest trailers, new announcements, and releases.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Gamescom 2026 is held from August 26 to August 30, but the ONL show will take place on August 25 at 11:00am PT / 02:00pm ET / 19:00 BST / 20:00 CEST.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">There are plenty of developers that will show their games, updates, and reveal new content, and we already know about a few main games that will be <a href="https://x.com/Okami13_/status/2085847564495065560?s=20" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">making an appearance at the event</a>. <p class="wp-block-paragraph">As you can see, there are some pretty big names in that list! A few of these games are expected to reveal new gameplay, trailers, or other details during the event. Various developers will also have a booth available during Gamescom, so if you are attending live, you can try some of the announced games yourself (if you are patient and willing to wait in line).</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">And, as mentioned earlier, this is not the final list, but rather just the games that either Gamescom directly announced attending the show, or that were posted via an official statement on their own social media. More developers and publishers could share their plans within the coming weeks, so there might still be more. Developers also love to keep some surprises, and this means that not everyone will share a big reveal beforehand. You can likely expect a lot of exclusive trailers and more during ONL and after.</p>

Gamescom 2026 is almost here, and a lot of games have already been confirmed for the event, including Alien: Isolation 2, Fable, and more!


These Are the Games Confirmed for Gamescom 2026 So Far


<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In the last few months, the most discussed topic in the gaming industry has probably been about Physical Discs. This started when GTA 6 announced that the physical version will only contain a code in the box. It then escalated quickly when Sony announced stopping physical disc production entirely in 2028. And since then, the debate continues: are physical discs still important, or is going full digital a good thing?</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Well, according to Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick, there is a simple reason for GTA 6 being full digital. Physical discs do not make sense anymore when it comes to huge games like this. Your disc mostly serves just as a way to download the game, and you need an internet connection for it.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">&#8220;Discs Just Don&#8217;t Really Make Sense&#8221;</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Speaking during a <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/take-two-boss-defends-no-disc-version-of-gta-6-equates-physical-releases-to-vinyl-records" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Q&amp;A with analysts following Take-Two&#8217;s Q1 2027</a> financial results, Zelnick was asked about the company&#8217;s approach to physical media because of Sony&#8217;s plans to stop producing physical discs for PlayStation games from 2028. Zelnick did not want to comment specifically on Sony&#8217;s decision, and we can understand why, but he did explain why Take-Two sees traditional game discs as unnecessary when it comes to games like GTA 6.</p>

So in certain instances, especially if it&#8217;s a big game, discs just — and note I said discs — don&#8217;t really make sense for the consumer. Also, most instances you have to register online to play anyhow. So if you&#8217;re already connected, who cares if you download digitally? It&#8217;s all the same and it&#8217;s much more convenient.&#8221;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">We could argue about &#8220;is he right or wrong,&#8221; but the reality is that yes, many modern games already require players to connect to the internet and register their copies before they can be played. The games are often not directly on the disc anymore. This is not for every game, of course, but it does happen more and more, especially when a game would require more than one disc to be complete. From Take-Two&#8217;s perspective, if players already need an internet connection to access or register a game, downloading it digitally is ultimately more convenient than using a physical disc that may not contain the complete game anyway.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In a way, from a business perspective, it is a logical thought process.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Physical Games Are Not Going Away Completely</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">That does not mean Take-Two is against physical media, or even that they expect physical editions to disappear entirely. Zelnick specifically clarified that the company will continue producing physical editions in certain cases, comparing their future to the continued existence of vinyl records despite the dominance of digital music.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">So basically, he does not seem to think that physical editions will disappear, even in a world where most things are digital. Does it mean that he knows something more about it? Probably not. It is most likely just a logical guess. The company says more than 90% of its business is already digitally distributed, making physical media the minority and not the standard it once was. But players are attached to physical things for a good reason. You own it, and it is never disappearing unless you personally sell it away.  That is what makes it so important. For collectors, that makes digital editions less appealing. For publishers, however, eliminating the need to manufacture and distribute discs can make the process considerably simpler. And according to Zelnick, the traditional game disc may eventually become something closer to vinyl. Still around for people who want it, but no longer necessary for most players.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The only question that remains is: will companies come up with physical alternatives to discs in the future? Such as game key cards or SSD cartridges that you would insert in your console instead of a disc. We will have to wait and see.</p>

GTA 6’s Physical Disc Does Not Make Sense According to Take-Two CEO


<p class="wp-block-paragraph">GTA 6 is probably the one game that is so anticipated that the entire rest of the industry decided to completely avoid releasing their games anywhere near it. And not only that, but it continues to generate an absurd amount of hype and crazy rumors. And now, according to <a href="https://x.com/GTAVI_Countdown/status/2085804675106767225?s=20" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">new comments from Take-Two Interactive CEO</a> Strauss Zelnick, the game&#8217;s pre-orders are already performing far beyond the company&#8217;s expectations.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Jason Schreier shared a few new details, including the fact that GTA 6&#8217;s pre-orders have &#8220;vastly surpassed Take-Two&#8217;s internal forecasts&#8221;. We could not get our hands on specific numbers, but it is easy to believe that people jumped on pre-orders as soon as they could. Nothing surprising given the game&#8217;s huge popularity. It gives us a good indication of just how much demand Take-Two is expecting when GTA 6 finally launches on November 19. On top of that, it also seems like he made some comments about the <a href="https://all.gg/news/rockstar-confirms-gta-6-extended-look-coming-during-gamescom-week/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">first extended look at the game being exclusive to Netflix</a>.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">GTA 6&#8217;s Extended Look Will Be a &#8220;Must-See Event&#8221;</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Schreier also discussed the upcoming GTA 6: An Extended Look that is scheduled to premiere on August 27 on Netflix. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick told him that the presentation will be much more substantial than a normal trailer. It is supposed to provide a &#8220;meaty&#8221; look at the actual gameplay, and Zelnick even described it as a &#8220;must-see event.&#8221; Zelnick was also asked why Take-Two chose Netflix as the platform for the premiere. He simply said that people will understand why they chose Netflix for the premiere once the event goes live. And when Schreier asked if it will feel like watching a Netflix show, Zelnick simply answered: &#8220;Yes.&#8221;</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">That means Rockstar and Take-Two may have something really big planned for this event, and not just a simple trailer with a few gameplay bits here and there. A lot of players now think that we can expect stuff like:</p>

<li>Multiple hours of gameplay</li>



<li>A live-action short movie that shows what happens before the game&#8217;s story begins, so before we pick up Lucia from prison</li>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It will definitely be much bigger than anything else you have seen so far, otherwise, why put it on Netflix? The issue is that now, players are indeed expecting something huge, so if Rockstar does not live up to it, it will be a big disappointment for many.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Aiming Beyond the Gaming Audience</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The decision to premiere the extended look on Netflix also seems to be part of a new marketing strategy. Zelnick said that the goal is to reach people who may already know GTA 6 exists but are not necessarily following the game closely or planning to buy it at launch, or people who just do not know about it at all, and might get interested by seeing the extended look. Netflix is the one platform that gives Take-Two access to a much larger audience than traditional gaming platforms alone. If you do not know GTA 6, you are not going to look it up on YouTube. But if it suddenly shows up on your front page on Netflix, you might be interested in watching it, and maybe after you will want to play it.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">One thing is sure. Take-Two does not appear particularly concerned about the game&#8217;s potential install base limiting sales. Zelnick pointed out that by launch, the console install base should be roughly comparable to the one GTA 5 had when it originally released. With pre-orders already beating internal expectations, Take-Two clearly is not seeing a lack of demand as a problem. And there may be even more planned for launch day. When Schreier asked Zelnick if he had anything special planned for November 19, such as a celebration, the Take-Two CEO replied that it is &#8220;ultra top secret&#8221; for now, but that he would be happy to talk about it at some point before launch.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For now, the next big GTA 6 event is August 27, when Rockstar will finally show us what this game is all about. And after months of almost complete silence, it sounds like Rockstar might have quite a bit to show.</p>

No generative AI; everything is fully made and voiced by humans. This has clearly left a mark on the community, as before launch Vahrin&#8217;s Call had about 150,000 Wishlists on Steam, and it&#8217;s still getting updates, with patch 1.0.19 dropping yesterday. </p>

This New Fantasy RPG Has Already Caught 150K Steam Wishlists


<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It is a bit unusual that games add wishlist milestones way after the game has already released, but apparently, IO Interactive has decided to reward players with a new goal for 007 First Light, and this one comes with a particularly adorable reward. The developer announced that you can unlock Jack the Bulldog as the newest assistant in the game&#8217;s TacSim lobby once 007 First Light reaches its next wishlist milestone of 007 million wishlists.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">So yes, if the game now reaches 007M wishlists, everyone gets a cool dog, so what are you waiting for! Do you think anyone wants to miss out on that? They did not specify if the milestone is linked exclusively to a particular platform such as Steam, or if it represents wishlists across every platform, but either way, it is a really nice free reward that everyone can essentially obtain. This, of course, means that players who did not buy the game yet do need to wishlist it.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">There is also no date on it, so we are guessing that the goal can be reached at any time.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">And honestly, after all the guns, gadgets and espionage, having a bulldog at your side is a pretty good incentive.</p>

007 First Light has revealed its next wishlist milestone, with Jack the Bulldog joining the TacSim lobby of the goal is met!


007 First Light Sets Wishlist Goal to Unlock Jack the Bulldog


<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Yesterday we got the <a href="https://all.gg/news/overwatch-2-reveals-d-mon-the-new-tank-hero/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">first trailer for the new Overwatch Tank Hero</a>, D.Mon, and today, Blizzard has officially revealed the gameplay for our new MEKA pilot. As a reminder, D.Mon will officially join Overwatch when Season 4: Heroes of Busan launches on August 11.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Even if she is another MEKA pilot, D.Mon is NOT D.Va 2.0. Blizzard really decided to do something pretty unique with her. Basically, you could say it is a pretty cool combination of Reinhardt and D.Va in one with Vendetta&#8217;s ultimate. She uses a sword to fight, has a pretty large shield, and good mobility. If you wanted a new Tank that plays differently than the others, you might be good to go with this one!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Reinhardt x D.Va x Vendetta</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Of course, she pilots a MEKA just like D.Va, but thanks to her sword, this makes D.Mon a melee Tank that is there to dash in and slash through the enemy line quickly. Her shield appears to take inspiration from Reinhardt, combining close-range DMG with a really good defensive shield ability.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Here are more details about her kit:</p>

<li>Plasma Saber &#8211; slashing enemies with powerful melee attacks</li>



<li>Fusion Repeater &#8211; a massive machine gun that fires from range</li>



<li>Power Barrier &#8211; a shield that protects her, similar to Reinhardt&#8217;s shield but that seems designed for more personal protection</li>



<li>Propulsors &#8211; Boost dash, similar to D.Va&#8217;s </li>



<li>She can eject from her mech</li>



<li>Surging Strike &#8211; After raising her barrier, she can launch herself forward with a powerful dash attack that knocks enemies back</li>



<li>Limit Break &#8211; Ultimate

<li>Once activated, D.Mon charges her Plasma Saber before unleashing a devastating strike capable of hitting multiple enemies (similar to Vendetta in a way). Targets struck receive a debuff similar to Zenyatta&#8217;s Discord Orb, increasing the damage they take, and D.Mon also gains additional overhealth.</li>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Different Enough From D.Va</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Both are from the same MEKA team, so of course, there are similarities, such as being able to dash forward or eject from her Mech, and like D.Va, D.Mon does not disappear once her mech is destroyed. But instead of dropping from the sky like D.Va&#8217;s mech, Beast can basically reconstruct itself around Yuna when recalled, piecing itself back together. And on top of that, D.Mon is more of a melee Tank, compared to D.Va, who shoots more from range.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">So although both heroes share the &#8220;pilot and mech&#8221; concept, D.Mon&#8217;s gameplay is unique enough to make her really interesting.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As mentioned already, she will be added to the game with the launch of Season 4 on August 11, so only a few days to go before you can finally try her out!</p>

Overwatch’s New Tank D.Mon Is a Mix of Reinhardt and D.Va


<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Only around three weeks to go before launch, and we thought it was about time to make a recap of the world we are heading to, and the monsters that live within. Because as Rebel Wolves said it so nicely:</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Vale Sangora is the dark fantasy world you will explore in The Blood of Dawnwalker that releases on September 3rd, 2026.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The developers have spent the past months sharing concept art, information about the lore, and introductions to the creatures that inhabit the valley. Because yes, Vampires are not the only thing lurking in the Shadows, and sometimes, the real monster is the one you see when you look into the mirror. Together, all these pieces of lore paint the picture of a land filled with ancient history, forgotten civilizations, brutal wars, and monsters lurking around nearly every corner.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">So today, here is the latest look at Vale Sangora and The Blood of Dawnwalker&#8217;s Bestiary. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A Land Marked by War</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Vale Sangora is not simply another fantasy kingdom. According to Rebel Wolves, it is a region where conflict has changed the world for generations. Stone fortifications and mountain strongholds dominate the horizon, many having changed hands countless times throughout history. One such fortress is currently occupied by Boyar Ambrus, a noble said to have a taste for luxury and fine food, though what treasures lie behind his walls remains a mystery.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Travelers can explore a variety of beautiful biomes full of life and wonder. The wetlands are often particularly cozy. Play in the mud, gather miraculous herbs for every rash and indigestion, and make friends with local fauna. Well&#8230; Maybe not every type of fauna&#8230; Elsewhere, you will encounter abandoned ruins, forgotten shrines, and mysterious ancient sites where &#8220;stone remembers what men choose to forget.&#8221; These locations hint at civilizations that existed long before the current vampire occupation, with relics and powers still waiting to be uncovered.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As you can see, despite its somewhat tragic history, Vale Sangora also offers an amazing natural environment. But it is as dangerous as it is beautiful. Some places are said to be haunted&#8230; or maybe something even worse has taken residence there&#8230;</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Creatures of Vale Sangora</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Obviously, an empty landscape would not offer much entertainment. As mentioned, Vale Sangora can be dangerous. So far, Rebel Wolves has officially revealed six creatures and enemy types that you will encounter during your journey. Or not. It depends how much you explore!</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Sanzhana</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Small, winged creatures that live underground among burrows and tunnels. According to local folklore, Sanzhani care little for gold or jewels. They are collecting human teeth as gifts for their queens, known as Tsarinas. Basically, if you were wondering where the tooth faerie went&#8230; well, there is your answer.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Gargoyle</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">These huge winged constructs equipped with scythe-like arms are terrifying monsters that can regenerate their wounds. Since they are often constantly flying, you will have to wait for opportunities to bring them back to the ground. The developers even added a little detail. These creatures were not born naturally, but were instead artificially created by an unknown being. But by whom, and for what?</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Blood Guards</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">We already <a href="https://all.gg/news/the-blood-of-dawnwalker-devs-explain-the-dark-secrets-behind-vale-sangora/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">talked about them in another news</a>, but these elite soldiers were created by binding humans to the Vrakhiri through repeated exposure to vampire blood. Unlike ordinary soldiers, Blood Guards possess enhanced strength, speed, and resilience. Whatever humanity they once had is long gone.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Addicted to the vampire blood that gave them their strength, they will forever serve their master.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Kobolds</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">They might look clumsy, but Kobolds are surprisingly smart and agile, and if you encounter more than one, they can quickly overwhelm you through coordinated attacks before retreating really fast. Fighting an entire group alone could be very deadly.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Ancient Undead</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Guardians from forgotten civilizations who continue serving their masters long after death. These sorts of zombies appear to originate from ancient burial traditions, where kings and servants were buried together so they could continue their duty in the afterlife.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Psoglav</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In the dark, in the woods, it might just look like an oversized wolf. But I would not get too close to it. It is not as cute. They have glowing eyes, oversized fangs, and do not really move like a normal wolf. They are something far more sinister than any ordinary predator, and their howls serve as a warning to anyone unfortunate enough to hear them.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">More Mysteries Still to Come</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">These creatures are only a small example of what you will encounter throughout Vale Sangora. Rebel Wolves already confirmed multiple times that there are way more monsters than that. Some recent videos have also hinted at other even darker supernatural forces, suggesting the valley&#8217;s deepest secrets are linked to civilizations and entities far older than the Vrakhiri themselves.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Vale Sangora is much more than just an imaginary region for The Blood of Dawnwalker&#8217;s story. They really made not only the zone, but also the monsters, be a real part of the lore, environment, and mysteries. And it appears to be a world designed to reward exploration and encourage players to uncover its hidden secrets.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">But you might want to bring a really good sword with you, you never know when you could need one.</p>

This patch improves performance for both the Performance Mode and the Quality Mode on the console! <a href="https://www.konami.com/games/silenthill/2r/news/us/en/update_107_ps" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Patch 1.07</a> was released on August 6 and basically focuses on making the game run much better with improved graphics and environmental elements, especially the spooky fog.</p>

August&#8217;s update revolves around powering up player-controlled monuments, giving survivors new ways to generate electricity, unlock valuable resources, and fight for control of the island&#8217;s infrastructure.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Oil &amp; Power</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Players can now restore power to monuments across the island, opening up new gameplay opportunities and resource routes. It all starts with the newly introduced <strong>Heavy Fuses</strong>, which can be inserted into special fuse boxes at the <strong>Power Plant</strong> to bring the electrical grid online.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Not every connected system activates immediately, though. Some monuments and features require additional Heavy Fuses before they come online, making power restoration a gradual objective rather than a one-time task.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Once the Power Plant is running, transformers mounted on roadside power poles begin supplying electricity to nearby electrical circuits, giving players an entirely new source of power for their bases.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This Rust update also expands the role of both Oil Rigs. A new switch on the <strong>Large Oil Rig</strong> controls the flow of crude oil to the <strong>Dome</strong>, activating a pump for 20 minutes. To collect the oil, players will need the new <strong>Tanker</strong> vehicle module to drain it before transporting it to a car lift for extraction.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Meanwhile, the <strong>Small Oil Rig</strong> features its own switch that pumps crude at half the rate. If both rigs are active simultaneously, production increases to 1.5x the normal Crude Oil output, making coordinated control of both monuments especially rewarding.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Power &amp; Water </h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Water distribution is also getting a major overhaul. Water pipes now spawn along roads across the island, allowing players to restore fresh water from the <strong>Water Treatment Plant</strong>.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">To get everything flowing, players must head inside the monument and repair two gearboxes by installing gears and using valve wheels to synchronize the machinery with the new intact water tank. Once the tank reaches full pressure, clean water begins flowing through the pipe network across the map.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">However, the system requires ongoing maintenance. If players neglect it for too long, blockages will gradually return and shut the water supply back down.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Gas Station Upgrades</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The <strong>Oxum Gas Station</strong> garage has received a significant upgrade as well. Once the Power Grid is active, or the nearby backup generator is switched on, the garage door can be opened, granting access to a fully functional car lift that works just like any other vehicle lift found around the island.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The small cave beneath the garage also now offers a higher chance of spawning higher-quality vehicle parts.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Meanwhile, the <strong>Supermarket</strong> now features a freezer that slowly fills with food whenever the Power Plant is up and running, giving players another resource to fight over.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Airfield &amp; Satellite Crashes</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The <strong>Airfield</strong>, a highpoint in the Rust endgame experience, finally has a new purpose. On the second floor, players will find two new terminals that charge using fuse boxes connected to the Power Grid.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The smaller terminal increases the frequency of supply drops across the island, while the larger terminal allows players to call in a Chinook resupply crate that lands near the Airfield. Once active, both terminals slowly lose power over time and will require more fuel after they fully drain.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Powering the grid also unlocks an entirely new world event at the <strong>Launch Site</strong>. By activating the new <strong>Satellite Control Computer</strong> with Tech Trash and an Aiming Module, players can take control of a satellite and intentionally crash it anywhere on the map.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">After selecting a target, the impact zone is broadcast to every player on the server, creating a massive PvP hotspot before the satellite crashes and leaves behind brand-new satellite loot crates.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Overall, the Rust Power Trip looks like one of Rust&#8217;s most ambitious updates in years. While solo players and smaller groups will certainly benefit from the new systems, the biggest winners and biggest battlegrounds will likely be medium and large clans competing for control of the island&#8217;s power grid and the valuable monuments connected to it.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">To obtain any drops, all you have to do is make sure your Marvel Rivals account and Twitch are connected. Afterward, watch any Drops-enabled Marvel Rivals streams in the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.twitch.tv/directory/category/marvel-rivals" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Marvel Rivals section</a>. You’ll see your progress tracked in the Twitch Drops Inventory as you watch.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">After you’ve reached the required watch time, go to your Twitch Drops Inventory and manually claim the reward. The item will then be sent to your Marvel Rivals account and will usually appear in your in-game inbox or rewards section after you log in.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Overwatch is getting a new hero! You can officially welcome D.Mon, the next Overwatch Tank Hero!</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Blizzard just released a trailer for D.Mon, and even if it does not reveal any gameplay just yet, it introduces the hero alongside the rest of the MEKA Squad as they face off against Wrecking Ball and the Junkers! The trailer focuses on her role within the MEKA Squad, giving us a good look at her personality and place in the Overwatch universe.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">D.Mon will join the game as a new Tank Hero when Season 4 launches on August 11, so only a few days to go! </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If you want a few information about the character, D.Mon, with her real name Yuna Lee, is part of the MEKA Squad. This is the same squad as D.Va is part of. She pilots the MEKA named Beast. When the Junkers and Talon attacked Busan, D.Mon disobeyed orders and, instead of returning to base, she led the MEKA Squad to defend the city. This resulted in Talon stealing an EMP, but they managed to capture Wrecking Ball. After that, D.Mon was reprimanded for disobeying orders and letting Talon escape with the EMP, but she argued that Wrecking Ball would lead them back to the Junkers, and ultimately, to Talon.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Gameplay Reveal Arrives Tomorrow</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">You will also not have to wait long to learn more about how D.Mon really plays since Blizzard has confirmed that a dedicated gameplay trailer will be released on August 7. This one will then go over her abilities in detail and what type of Tank she will really be.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Physical game releases continue to become less common. But luckily, for Rebel Wolves fans, The Blood of Dawnwalker is giving collectors not only a Physical game, but also a little extra reason to pick up the boxed copy! We already made an article where we went over the different editions. You can check it out if you are curious about <a href="https://all.gg/news/the-blood-of-dawnwalker-pre-orders-are-live-and-every-edition-gets-a-bonus-set/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">everything that is included in the different versions</a>. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Day One Edition is priced at the standard €69.99, so the exact same price as the normal Standard edition. But the Day One Edition includes the full game alongside a Steelbook and a physical world map, all without increasing the retail price. And if you pre-order will also receive the Sangoran Wayfarer&#8217;s Armour Set, the same bonus available across all editions.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">So it does look like it is the map and steelbook that come with the physical collector edition that is priced at €200. This means that for the normal price, if you buy the Day One Standard edition, you can obtain some of the items from the collector&#8217;s edition! </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It is rather unusual, especially now that physical copies are pretty much disappearing. So if you are a collector, and you cannot afford the collector&#8217;s edition, the Day One version is a pretty cool deal! You can get the Day One Edition for any platform, including PC! But we are guessing the PC version does come with only a code-in-box. But the PS5 and Xbox versions both contain discs in the physical box!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Four Editions to Choose From</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">And as a reminder, here is a short look at each edition and who they are mostly targeted at:</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Nintendo Switch 2 version is getting what they call &#8220;Vibrant Visuals&#8221;. This means that you can explore the worlds with enhanced lighting, improved shadows, and upgraded graphical effects. These visual enhancements are also not limited to the base game and are compatible with the Minecraft Marketplace. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">So basically, everything will look better!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Super Mario Mash-Up Upgrade</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On top of the base game updates, Nintendo&#8217;s exclusive Super Mario Mash-Up Pack is also getting an upgrade for the new console. If you did not know, this is a unique pack only available on the Nintendo version. The pack includes a Mario-themed world, custom music, and character skins, allowing you to visit familiar locations from the Mario world such as Peach&#8217;s Castle and Delfino Plaza recreated inside Minecraft.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">With the Switch 2 version, these locations will also benefit from the new Vibrant Visuals, so once again, everything will look much better and feel better!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">And if You Already Own the Game on Switch?</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For those who already own Minecraft on Nintendo Switch, do not worry, because there is no additional purchase required! You will have access to a digital upgrade path for the Nintendo Switch 2 version. Full details on how it will work and all the details for that will only be shared closer to launch, so you will have to wait. But at least you already know that you do not need to buy the game or anything. It is just an update to download in theory.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It has been weeks, no, months&#8230; either way, too long, since we got official Rockstar news for GTA 6! <a href="https://all.gg/news/enough-with-the-leaks-gta-6-fans-are-asking-rockstar-to-take-control/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Players started to get annoyed</a> and bored with it, with hype clearly lowering due to the lack of information beyond the same old leaks over and over again. But finally, after months of silence, Rockstar Games has shared an official update on GTA 6.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">They published a video on their YouTube channel to announce that <strong>&#8220;Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look&#8221; will premiere on August 27</strong>, and that means that we are getting our first official look at the game since they <a href="https://all.gg/news/rockstar-reveals-gta-6-ultimate-edition-and-official-pricing/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">announced pre-orders being live</a>.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The announcement from today is really just a short teaser posted on Rockstar&#8217;s official YouTube channel, with new promotional artwork and confirming when you can expect the presentation. So not much for now, but it is something at least. And you can mark August 27 as a date where you will have to keep an eye out! </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Netflix Premiere</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">So there is one unusual thing in this announcement. According to the official post, Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look will <strong>premiere on Netflix first</strong>, on Thursday, August 27, at 3 p.m. ET. And only after that will the presentation then become available later the same day on the official Rockstar Games YouTube channel and the website at 9 p.m. ET.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">To recap and make sure you get the times right:</p>

Sadly for some time zones, this also means waiting until the middle of the night to watch the trailer on YouTube.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What Could the Extended Look Include?</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Rockstar has not shared what the presentation will feature exactly, but you can probably expect a first look at the gameplay, different features, how both characters play, etc. Everything you wanted to see but did not yet!</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The timing is also very interesting, since this presentation is scheduled during Gamescom week. Rockstar has not announced any Gamescom plans, so there is currently no confirmation that the game will appear during the event. However, with the Extended Look arriving during it, it is not impossible that we get trailer 3 during the Opening Night Live of Gamescom, and then the extended look a few days after! </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Of course, this is just speculation, so do not expect anything other than this Extended look for now!</p>

Rockstar has officially announced a new GTA 6 Extended Look, set to premiere end of August after months of silence!

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The developers behind <a href="https://all.gg/news/meccha-chameleon-surpasses-15-million-copies-sold/" data-type="link" data-id="https://all.gg/news/meccha-chameleon-surpasses-15-million-copies-sold/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">the breakout indie co-op hit</a> Meccha Chameleon have kicked off a brand-new Emote Contest, inviting players to create custom poses for a chance to see them become permanent in-game emotes.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Meccha Chameleon Emote Contest</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Starting today, you and your friends can submit your own pose photos using the <strong>#mecchaemote</strong> hashtag. The developers will accept live-action photos, illustrations, CG renders, and just about any other format. Better yet, your submission doesn&#8217;t even have to feature a character from Meccha Chameleon</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The team plans to add <strong>five winning entries</strong> to the game, so you&#8217;ll want to start posing sooner rather than later. Submit your entry before <strong>8/8 at 24:00 JST</strong>, and the developers will reveal the winners and add the winning emotes to the game on <strong>8/9</strong>.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The developers also confirmed that they plan for this to become Meccha Chameleon&#8217;s first annual Emote Contest. If this year&#8217;s event goes well, players can look forward to even more community-created emotes and future contests.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Gears of War: E-Day early access beta is almost here, and the Coalition has heard the community&#8217;s outcry and answered.<a href="https://all.gg/news/gears-of-war-e-day-unveils-new-multiplayer-modes/" data-type="link" data-id="https://all.gg/news/gears-of-war-e-day-unveils-new-multiplayer-modes/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> PvP Versus mode</a> will now be a part of both the early access and the open beta!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Gears E-Day Beta Details</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">That&#8217;s right, yesterday the developers said that PvP Versus mode will be a part of both betas after fan requests ever since the multiplayer reveal.  For those who have already pre-purchased, the Early Access runs from August 6th to August 10th. Whereas the open beta is available for all players from August 13th to August 17th.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Marvel Rivals has officially unveiled its Season 9.5 roadmap, giving players a look at everything arriving over the second half of the season. Beginning on August 7, players can jump in as <a href="https://all.gg/news/marvel-rivals-reveals-the-hood-for-season-9-5/" data-type="link" data-id="https://all.gg/news/marvel-rivals-reveals-the-hood-for-season-9-5/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">the newest Vanguard, The Hood</a>, while also looking forward to new events, fresh cosmetic bundles, the return of Krakoan Reels Vol. 2, and plenty of new skins rolling out over the coming weeks.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Season 9.5 Roadmap</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Most of Season 9&#8217;s biggest content drops have already arrived during the first half of the season. As a result, <a href="https://all.gg/news/marvel-rivals-season-9-5-patch-notes-team-up-nerfs-buffs/" data-type="link" data-id="https://all.gg/news/marvel-rivals-season-9-5-patch-notes-team-up-nerfs-buffs/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Season 9.5</a> is placing a much bigger focus on limited-time events and a steady stream of cosmetic releases alongside The Hood&#8217;s debut. One of the highlights is the Creed of Akkaba event, which rewards players with two free skins for Jeff the Land Shark and The Punisher.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Beyond that, Lady Loki is getting a set of custom animations for her existing skins, giving the character even more personality in-game. Summer celebrations also continue with the Swimsuit Special skin collection launching on August 14, followed by additional cosmetic drops on August 21, August 28, and September 4, ensuring there&#8217;s something new to check out nearly every week.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Overall, Marvel Rivals Season 9.5 is shaping up to be a great update for collectors and players who love unlocking new cosmetics. Against the Netherbrain, the most popular weapon choice was Gontr Mael, used by players to deliver the final blow more than 33.4 million times.</p>

Jean Guesdon, former Creative Director on Assassin&#8217;s Creed, <a href="https://x.com/kevincreednews/status/2084700619550634455?s=20" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">announced that Eric Baptizat is returning</a> to Ubisoft as the new Game Director for the Assassin&#8217;s Creed franchise. For those who might not know, Baptizat previously spent 16 years at Ubisoft, contributing to a few huge entries in the franchise before leaving the company to join EA Motive, where he helped lead the Dead Space Remake.</p>

With Assassin&#8217;s Creed entering a new era following the release of Assassin&#8217;s Creed Black Flag Resynced and upcoming projects such as Assassin&#8217;s Creed Hexe, it seems like Ubisoft finally decided to rely on experienced leadership to guide the series moving forward.</p>
