Rockstar Breaks Silence on GTA 6 Leak as Prologue Spoilers Spread

They shared a statement earlier today on their official Social Media. Rockstar called the leaked gameplay “heartbreaking” and said this was obviously not how they wanted everyone to see the game after such a long wait. The studio also apologized for how long it has taken to finish GTA 6 and share more official information, saying the game is “nearly there.”

Rockstar says the upcoming official presentation has taken longer than expected because the team wants to make sure it lives up to expectations. They did not want to rush anything out, and honestly, it does make sense. It is a big game, they want it to be really perfect. They should be allowed to take their time without having their entire game being leaked early just because of some scammers with bad intentions.
GTA 6 Prologue Spoilers Are Now Spreading
Unfortunately, the situation has also gone beyond gameplay footage. The official GTA Discord moderators have confirmed that part of GTA 6’s prologue has been leaked, meaning story spoilers are now circulating online. As a result, most channels on the Discord server have been temporarily locked, with discussions about the leaks and spoilers restricted to a dedicated spoiler channel.
The moderators are also warning users that posting spoilers outside of that channel, intentionally or accidentally, could result in harsh punishments.
So sadly, if you want to remain completely spoiler-free, avoid the Discord server for the time being, and try to stay away from most of Social Media, especially Twitter/X, where most of the spoilers are shared. So just be careful until the game releases. Better be safe than sorry with this.
Rockstar Still Wants Fans to Experience GTA 6 Themselves
Despite the leak, Rockstar is asking fans to wait and experience GTA 6 for themselves when it officially launches. Sadly, some spoilers may now be unavoidable, but they hope players will still choose to discover the game naturally.
GTA 6 is still scheduled to release on November 19, 2026, and the extended look tomorrow will surely bring some incredible surprises with it as well!
