Final Fantasy VII Revelation Comes With a $500 Complete Edition

Now that Final Fantasy 7 Revelation finally has a release date, Square Enix has also revealed a frankly ridiculous number of different editions for the final game in the Remake trilogy. And the price of the collector’s edition is honestly as insane as its content. In case you missed the info from yesterday, Final Fantasy 7 Revelation launches on April 8, 2027, with pre-orders already available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders are also coming, but they will follow at a later date.

There is also a digital pre-order bonus for every edition. If you pre-order before April 7th, 2027, you can claim a Summoning Materia: Mecha-Chocobo & Moogle for the digital version, but the physical one gets an exclusive Sylph Summoning Materia as a bonus.

And for those who get the Physical Day One Edition, you obtain a Magic: The Gathering Final Fantasy Promotional Card on top of it! This is basically if you pre-order the physical version of the game.

Save Data

For those who played the previous 2 games, I hope you did not erase your save data or change consoles in between, because if you have save data left, you get additional bonuses as well:

These bonuses will be unlocked upon completing the main game, even without save data, so basically you just get them early if you have save data left from the previous games. As I mentioned, the save data must be saved on the console or the PC where the game will be played. If you played on PlayStation before and this time on PC, it will not work. The Square Enix account must also be the same one used to play Remake and Rebirth.

Compared to other games, this one really comes with a ton of different editions, including changes between the Physical and Deluxe versions. It can all be a little bit confusing, so here are the details:

And Then There Is Japan’s $500 Edition

Yes, you read that right. If all of those editions were not enough, Square Enix is also offering something even more excessive in Japan! You can get a Final Fantasy VII Remake Series Complete Edition priced at ¥77,777, or roughly $500. The Complete Edition is aimed at collectors who want the entire Remake trilogy together. For now, its availability appears to be specific to Japan and not globally, so it is unknown if you can really order it outside of Japan.

As you can see, this one comes with all three games, but also with full plates for the 3 games and a small polygon Cloud keychain for collectors!

Square Enix has apparently decided that one Final Fantasy VII Revelation edition simply was not enough, and we can definitely understand why! Keep in mind also that even if you just get the base game, you will be able to buy the DLCs on their own later on. So you are not missing out on anything.
