Deathmaster Is the Skaven Game We’ve Been Waiting For

It’s been a long while since we heard any fresh news about Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Deathmaster. Since its reveal during Skulls 2026, the game has been mostly quiet, but that’s finally changed. During Gamescom 2026, fans got a brand-new gameplay reveal, and it’s looking like everything we could want from a Skaven game.

Escape. Kill. Ascend.

In Deathmaster, you play as a sneaky, stabby, and absolutely ruthless Skaven. Break out of your cage, crawl through the shadows, sneak past enemies, and stab your way up through the ranks of your colony in this brand-new 2D stealth platformer. Fans were quick to point out that the game looks and feels a lot like Mark of the Ninja, and honestly, it’s a pretty accurate comparison.

The new gameplay trailer shows off several of the ways you’ll navigate through each level. You can drop down on your fellow ratmen from above, throw junk around to distract enemies, and even set up small traps to catch your prey.

Of course, sneaking around isn’t the only thing you’ll be doing. Kill, climb, and slay your way through the ranks of the Eshin Clan as you fight to claim your rightful place in Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Deathmaster.
