The Legend of California’s Next Alpha Begins Soon

By Jaymo | 5 Days Ago

If you missed out on it last time, The Legend of California is heading back into testing next month, as Kintsugiyama has announced that Alpha 4 will begin on September 17. The next Alpha will run from Thursday, September 17 at 10 AM PT until Monday, September 21 at 10 AM PT, making this the longest Alpha so far. The previous test was shorter, so you will have an extra day this time around.

And if you have already participated in a previous Alpha test, you will not need to sign up again. Anyone who participated in the previous Alpha will automatically be welcomed back when the servers go live, but more players will be invited from the game’s Steam signup list this time as well!

This means that if you did not get access last time, go to the game’s Steam page and sign up for the test there. Technically, you will see an option to sign up when you visit the page.

If you are chosen to participate, you will receive an Email once we are closer to the next test date!

And for the occasion, a new trailer has also been released!

The developers have also been working on quite a bit since the previous test, so there will be a ton of new things to discover. More information will probably be shared once we get closer to September 17. It is also good to note that Alpha 4 is not going to be the last test of the year.

2 More Alphas and One Beta Before Early Access

Answering to a comment on Twitter/X, the developers have also confirmed that two more Alpha tests are planned for 2026, and the game’s Beta and Early Access plans have now been pushed to 2027. So there is still quite a bit of testing to go before The Legend of California is ready to properly launch, but at least you know that this is not your last chance to test the game before it officially releases.

As mentioned, for anyone who has not played yet, the Steam sign-up list is the current way to get a chance at joining the upcoming tests, and anyone can try their luck! This is not unique to content creators or anything like that.
