What Is Star Wars Zero Company?
If you are not familiar with the game yet, Star Wars Zero Company is a single-player, turn-based tactics game set during the twilight of the Clone Wars. You will play as Hawks, a former Republic officer who leads an elite squad known as Zero Company. The team is recruited for a dangerous operation involving an emerging threat that could eventually consume the entire galaxy.
The game is pretty much based on tactical decision-making, and you will have to adapt your squad and approach depending on the situation. You will take part in tactical missions and investigations as you work through an original Star Wars story. Your squad can include an unusual mix of characters, too. You can recruit different types of operatives ranging from scoundrels and astromechs to even a Jedi, with each character bringing their own abilities to the group. You can also develop relationships between your squad members, with characters learning to work together and unlocking new combat synergies as they gain experience. That means building the right team is not just about having the strongest ones, but also about figuring out the combinations that work best together.
Hawks can be customized as well, including the combat specialization and appearance. You will also be able to customize the other members of Zero Company, changing their appearances, loadouts, and abilities. And since your decisions can affect how the story and missions play out, the idea is that not every playthrough will be the same.
So if you are planning to jump in as soon as it releases, make sure to check the table above for your local time!
