Nearly three years after launch, Baldur’s Gate 3 continues to prove that its community is one of the most creative and unpredictable in gaming. 500 Million Mod Downloads and Thousands of Community Creations

The biggest milestone revealed through this is the huge size of the game’s modding community. Since the launch of official mod support, players have uploaded more than 13,000 mods, and those have collectively reached over 500 million downloads. This is pretty big! It is a nice proof of how much the community is involved in the game to make it live far beyond the original release. Players keep expanding Baldur’s Gate 3, adding new classes, cosmetics, gameplay changes, and more.

• 5% of players carrying over 2,000 camp supplies
• 1% carrying more than 4,000 camp supplies

These statistics also revealed some of the most popular combat choices and things players discovered. The optional legendary weapon Blood of Lathander from the Githyanki Crèche was used in combat more than 670 million times, making it one of the most popular weapons despite requiring you to explore an optional area. Against the Netherbrain, the most popular weapon choice was Gontr Mael, used by players to deliver the final blow more than 33.4 million times.

Other interesting combat statistics include:

• The Twist of Fortune morningstar that was used in over 28 million combats
• And the Poo Scraper was somehow used in combat 4 times in Act 3

Who Players Failed To Save The Most

On the sadder side of it, some story NPCs died more than others during the campaign. The ones who were killed the most often are:

1. Zevlor – 12.31M
2. Rolan – 8.62M
3. Isobel – 2.20M
4. Volo – 4.62M
5. Barcus Wroot – 2.66M
6. Alfira – 2.62M

And when we see how chaotic players are, we can easily understand why. And on top of all these milestones like half a billion mod downloads, it is these smaller details that prove why Baldur’s Gate 3 remains so popular. Players are often carefully roleplaying their characters, saving every few seconds, collecting thousands of supplies, or attacking enemies with joke weapons, but Larian’s statistics clearly show that the Baldur’s Gate 3 community is still finding new ways to create chaos.
